@tamuch2312sas21 seriosly the old-school decibel meters are just like the "make noise" meter the caps use... it has its own programming. here's a fact: a jet engine/ shotgun blast (from 5 cm from the gun/engine are under 140 deciibels. sorry, 131 decibels is not realistic. in fact, any noise over 125 decibels causes permanent damage to your hearing tissue. I'm not denying they're the loudest, they very well might be. my point is that 131 decibels has probably never been reached by a hockey crowd

In an arena with 10 000 people where 2500 pay attention to the game you'll have 500 yelling. In MTL, 21 273 are watching so with the same ratio you'll have over 4000 yelling. Check full arenas in VAN, PHI, BOS and other places, you'll hear the crowd go nuts for "no-calls". Idiots? Maybe, but no worst than any other place.
