RIP Johnny Wright. His marriage to Kitty Wells is something I always found so inspiring. He was 97 and she is now 92. They were married for 74 years and 11 months. That is something that takes not only love but commitment. That is something that is lacking in the vast majority of marriages today. As soon as the road gets rough or temptation rears its ugly head, commitment goes out the window. I am sure Johnny & Kitty faced many problems in their lives but they emerged victorious.

This is one of the few songs I knew Johnny Wright to sing with Kitty, who by the way is Kitty's husband and the former part of Johnny and Jack. Jack was killed on the day of Patsy Clines funeral and ended the duo's then popular hits on the scene. Johnny well into his 90's made shows with Kitty. It was Johnny who was a D.J. at the time who coined the name Kitty Wells for the singer after he told her she needed a easy to remember name...Kitty Wells was until then the neame of an old slave song.

i really liked this song. kitty has a beautiful voice. the stuff they call country today is terrible when you hear this singing. thanks for putting it on you tube. i really enjoyed it.
