  • I saw some of these at Virginia Beach, lol they were so cute runnign away from the water

  • Are Sanderlings commonly found elsewhere? We have a new variety of bird very much like these in upstate NY and I'm trying to figure out what they are. Typically it's just one or two running alongside my car when I'm pulling out of the parking lot at work, but today there were nearly a dozen of them - 1 adult and several chicks. They're the cutest lil things.

  • wow they are real quick

  • i watch this video at work sometimes when i want to take a break. it's somehow theraputic and mezmorizing.

  • WEET WEET

  • LOVE IT!! I giggled so much!

Ahh just look at those lil legs :)))

  • These birds are Sanderlings

  • how do they know when the wave is going to retreat? its all the way behind them!

  • I saw these birds in Florida coastline, but only about 3 to 4 at a time as rougher waves where I was at. NOt sure if they are a breed of Sandpiper or plover but was very funny as these little birds are determined to feed on the shallow part of the wave, supposedly tiny bugs or crustacean in the water, so cute, I enjoyed watching them

  • this is hilarious damnit! [anonymous]

  • I second that!

  • lizz, this sucks...running birds should be saved for cartoons
