  • WOW! Ann Downing ( 0:52 ) is the prettiest woman I've ever seen! You don't see that kind of outer and inner beauty in one package anymore.

  • Thank you for sharing this. I grew up watching the Gospel Singing Jubilee on Sunday Morning's before going to church. My parent's would watch/listen to it while getting ready to go.Brings back a lot of good memories. If you can please post some more.

  • I remember traveling with my grandparents when I was young, and when we travel together we would always listen to the florida boys and I always loved this song. wow. precious memories..Thank you LORD that my grandfather is now waving palms of victory in your presence!

  • I heard the theme song for "Jubilee" in this clip and immediately got up and started picking out clothes to wear to Sunday School. LOL!

  • I saw them in concert in Albuquerque, New Mexico and in Pueblo, Colorado.

I loved them and Glen Alred is such a nice man.

  • Loved seeing the open for this classic show...I truly miss it and happy I have six classic dvd's of this show of which I have posted some of the classic clips on Hymn Time. Thank you for this posting it was a blessing for sure.

  • I wished they would bring this back too, but volume 1 is on dvd now.

  • I can't thank you enough!

  • I was blessed to see them and meet these Southern Gospel originals in

1999 at Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I still have

    that autographed photo. These legends

have served the Lord of thier songs so

faithfully for over fifty years plus bringing

the good news in song to many a soul !!

The 'Florida Boys' are in a league all thier own !! Love em'

  • Awesome! I have not seen Gospel Jubilee nor have I heard its great theme song in over 30 years. I miss the show. And whatever became of Les Beasley?

  • @sonofsilvia Les Beasley still plays with the Florida Boys on occasion. I got to met him in Pine Bluff, AR in 1999. Loved the Florida Boys, Happy Goodmans, The Hinsons, and many more on the Gospel Jubilee Show every Sunday morning. Mother would crank up the volume for all the 'heathen' children to hear as they tried to snooze. Great Southern gospel music ..I just ordered a six set DVD of the show, should get it before Christmas!

  • I used to watch this show every Sunday morning when I was getting ready to go to Sunday School. I loved it so much.

  • The "Gospel Jubilee" music T.V.show was the

show that mother would crank up LOUD so that us 'Heathern children' would hear while we lay up on a Sunday morning. It didn't take long though for me to get up and learn to love and faithfully listen to all my favorite gospel acts!!!

  • I wish they would bring this old program back on TV along with The Gospel Singing Caravan. Loved the old groups.

  • Ah, yes the Gospel Singing Jubilee! I too remember turning the TV set up loud so I could hear it in the kitchen while eating breakfast. Then I would bring my clothes into the living room so I could watch it while getting ready. And would almost always get in trouble 'cause I would watch it to the end while dad was trying to load us in the car to go to Sunday School so we wouldn't be late. Was there a more wholesome way to irritate parents?

BTW, what is that on Darrell's head?

  • I grew up in Atlanta Ga. in the 70's this bring back great memories WSB-TV channel 2. Sunday morning listening to this show waiting to go to church.

  • I grew up listening to this show on Sunday mornings while getting ready for Church. My how I wish they still had this on... Brings back some great memories. I have a song My Dad thinks Florida Boys sings. Who is on the Lord side...Know it? THANKS FOR OUR EFFORTS IN POSTING THIS....LOVE IT!!!!

  • Where did you find this? I would love to see more of these if you have them. You brought back some memories with this.I was real young then, but I remember that Saturday was music day on KTVT ch 11 in Dallas.Around early evening,The Gospel Singing Jubilee would start off the music, and to my knowlege,it would end with The Porter Wagoner Show. After that would be wrestling, and the late night horror show,if I'm correct. Again thank you,and God Bless You.

  • This recording was from a video that Bill Gaither made in the mid 90's. It is part of the Best of Gospel Singing Jubilee series videos.

  • Great memories! I used to watch the Gospel Singing Jubilee when I was a boy.

  • Glen Allred has always been a fantastic baritone singer. Les and Glen have always been one of my favorites...solid performers and singers!
