I hav e watched him since he was 13 and his parents had to chaperone him at clubs so he could play. At 14 he helped open the House of Blues in Cambridge Mass and Joe Walsh branded him as Monster Mike because of his talent. He has advanced in his playing but mostly in his vocals.

Mike's given me some lessons over the years and I only have a faint idea how very very hard it is . . in fact, somebody could work hard on the guitar all his life and not play like that bcz Mike's brilliant. It ain't just technique. I should have added "ha ha" at the end.
So very very very good . . . You make it look so easy. It occurs to me (I sound like Dick Cavett) that I would like to play like that. Does it take much work?
