It is thrue, I lived and studied in the USSR, I was astonished when a lot of workers, janitors, simple citizens, no scholars made a lot of comments about musicians, Oistrakh, Kogan, so, about composers, Prokofiev, Schostakovich and theri position against Jrennikov. People understood what would like to say Schostakovich about his 5th symphony "this is the response to a right critic"..ironic, but in this time music was phylosophy..
