How many 12volt deep cycle batteries would it take at a continous 24volt to acheive 220v 50 herts for 2 hours And which inverter would suit?

You would have to get an inverter specific to producing 220v 50 hertz from a battery source. I would estimate that for 2 hours a normal single car battery at 50 or 60 Amp-hours would be able to produce around 300 watts continuously until it was drained.

How can you tell a good quality inverter from a poor one. I have read reviews complaining about the poor quality of some "name brand" inverters, Coleman and Vector to name just two. So, what can I look for to determine the build quality of an inverter?

Liked your video, very informative. I run outdoor exercise classes and usually rely on a 2500watt generator to power 2kw of light ( I use standard portable construction halogen lights). As you can imagine the generator is noisy, smelly and burns more fuel and takes up space.

I have a Nissen Navara truck (2.5l diesal). Can you provide any recomendations or advice?

do i NEED a power inverter for my subwoofer or does it just get hooked up to the battery and amp

no need for a inverter for the subs in the car. battery for your amp is all you need. now if your pumping som major wattage. a capacitor inbetween the amp and battery would be a good idea. that way the battery wont get drained when all the accessories are on with the amp and sub at the same time. wiring is simple and the more farad for the capacitor the better the flow of power to the amp. hope that helped=)
