Funny how this is called Into the West, and featured Sean Astin, as he played Sam in the Lord of the Rings, and the final soundtrack in LOTR was also called Into the West . . . and now I'm doing a history project on the American West. Weird how these things link up, isn't it?

i love this film,it always makes me cry like a little kid,i was about 14 when it came out,my little sister was freinds with the youngest little boy in the film,they were in a singing comp together,it has always had a place in my heart,i know all the places in the film becos i grow up them,so pretty much everyone i know grow up watching it,i remeber it was the first irsh film that spoke to me,it had all the things that i like in film myths,horses,fantasy and it was a firmiler,so it was a novelity

I saw this when i was little and only remembered this scene, never could figure out where it came from until i was babysitting when i was 22 and the mother happened to rent it. A great mystery solved, was very happy!

This has to be the best film ever. It was always on rte2 on the halloween bank holiday monday. And the amount of times we watched it in school was rediculous :)
