Spotless does not mean that we will be perfect - without grace. If you could live the perfect life, you would have no need for Jesus. The fact that you acknowledge walking in repentance means that you believe that we are redeemed. If your other statements were true, by default one would want to become a christian at the last possible moment of their life so as not to "gain a spot." That is crazy. Keep trying. i understand what your saying, but i dont agree and i'm certainly not going to start trying to sound high, mighty and holy and im only engaging in this debate because i want to know Jesus more but im concerned about how the church responds to things like this. God is a judging God, but Paul says himself "there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" Romans 8v1. I'm not defending what Todd did or trying to excuse it. Is sin unacceptable? Is there any place for it in the Kingdom of God? No. But i believe Todd, whatever sin he has commited, is in Christ and is saved. You say that he serves the Father of lies. Just to answer one of your questions; yes, God does and has used people in ministry, with power, to change lives for good & for His glory, while that minister was in the very act of abiding in sin. David comes to mind, as does Peter. Countless ministers come to mind. Specifically, Kevin Prosch was used powerfully by God in my life while he was in adultery. I have been used by God in ministry while I was abiding in sin. Not justifying this ONE BIT; just saying that it has & does occur.

in Mat 16v23 Jesus rebukes Peter, even calling him satan. but when he did this it was a personal rebuke that was kept between peter an Jesus. Jesus didnt tell the other disciples nor did he ever refer back to it in scripture. Spotless does not mean that we will be perfect - without grace. If you could live the perfect life, you would have no need for Jesus. The fact that you acknowledge walking in repentance means that you believe that we are redeemed. Of course a Christian walks in repentance, but there should be continual growth as well. Todd Bentley is not repentant. He acknowledges his affair was wrong, but was not wiling to make it right by reconciling to his wife. He chose to follow his own heart and is now in a continual state of adultery. i understand what your saying, but i dont agree and i'm certainly not going to start trying to sound high, mighty and holy and im only engaging in this debate because i want to know Jesus more but im concerned about how the church responds to things like this. I'm only 17 after all i know theres alot more to learn, to see and to understand. I never went to lakeland, i live in england and had nothing to do with the revival. but this is what im thinking.

God is a judging God, but Paul says himself "there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" Romans 8v1. I'm not defending what Todd did or trying to excuse it. Is sin unacceptable? Is there any place for it in the Kingdom of God? No. But i believe Todd, whatever sin he has commited, is in Christ and is saved. You say that he serves the Father of lies. But Satan doesn't heal people. Satan can kill, steal and destroy. He cant heal.

People were healed in that ministry and lives were changed. therefore a conclusion would have to made that Todd is in Christ. Obviously Satan has done a work to introduce this sin and hurt so many people.
But in scripture David commited adultery, not only that he commited murder to try and cover it up. Not only this, he failed as a father, raising kids who went against God and raped their step sister. But this was said of David

So the update is that Todd has now married the woman he left his wife and kids for and comitted adultery with so all is forgiven.
Todd is now under the wise council of Rick joyner who is looking at restoring him back to ministry.
When Lee Grady spoke out against this calling it a cover up for sin Rick Joyner publicly rebuked Lee asking him what move of God have you ever done ?

Which being; Holy Spirit confirms the Word of truth because He is the Spirit of Truth (Acts14:3 & Heb2:3-4). So when unbiblical lies are being preached and there are "miracles" happening... what's going on?

vinnie I think it is actually the Spirit. You can't be saying that these things can't happen with God. I think you have to want to believe is part of the problem of getting the door open. I don't think the spirit of darkness can give joy. darkness is pretty much the opposite of Light.

Every time I think of that verse something tells me it doesnt apply to me cause: those who are in Christ Jesus wakl in the Spirit and if you are in the Spirit then you obey cause those who obey have the Spirit Acts 5:4 I think. So in other words gotta be sinless or dont have spirit cause if one disobeys obviously one has sinned so in other words only those who arent condemned are sinless.
