  • That last scene always leaves me misty-eyed, even moreso now that DeForest Kelley is gone.

  • @spike378-USS is United Space Ship. The song is 'Lady' by the Little River Band. Good job, poster!

  • Awesome video with little river band awesome!

  • what does USS stand for?

  • Good Job.......put a lump in my throat.

  • "treat her like a lady and she'll always bring you home" .. :)! RIP De Kelly

  • In the New Timeline the " Next Generation's" Galaxy Class Starship USS Enterprise-D would be Simply Amazing. It would be Built with the Advanced Technology from the Future taken Further.

It never would have been Destroyed in the " Incident " at Veridian III.

Her Commander, The Newly Promoted ,Admiral Jean-Luc Picard, would of Course still be in Command as he Firmly Takes Her To Boldly Go Where No Man has Gone Before.....

  • As a rule I also hate idiotic comments like the one from Just Ridiculous (JR)Bearman.

  • J. R Bearman. Does the JR stand for Just Ridiculous! You think the world will be destroyed because we voted for the best president since LBJ, JFK, or FDR? We should be glad there wasn't another coup d'état of 2000.

  • As a rule I hate you tube musical tributes but this was ok. Maybe should have shown a few clips of Scotty referring to the E. Prise as a lady.

  • As a rule I hate you tube music tributes.

  • Is that Data going "Oh, shit!" at: 4:16?

  • Your description of this clip was an understament-me being a trekker myself. The chills happened at the biggening, the lump in the throat @ the middle, and tears shortly there-after.I myself having built several of the Star Trek models, mostly Enterprise!!Very touching to thoughs who are endeared to the U.S.S.Enterprise,I from the 1800 to the futuristic Star Trek, there will always be HOPE!!!!

  • @ironspoon - Actually, this is the first I've heard of CBS contemplating bringing Trek back to television. For the moment, they are concentrating primarily on the motion picture end of the franchise. The biggest challenge to bringing Star Trek back to the small screen is that Les Moonves (President and CEO of CBS) is well-known for not liking Star Trek. If you've got a source for the rumor of a 2012 - 2014 plan for a TV series, I'd sure appreciate a link. Otherwise, it's only a rumor.

  • @captjon1 You would think after "six television series, eleven films plus numerous books, comics, games and collectibles," CBS executives would've learned their lesson. Well, the more things change....

  • @captjon1 If Star Trek is brought back to the small screen, I hope it is NOT under the helm of JJ Abrams. He ruined Trek for me. I have been a Trekkie since 8SEP66!!! Abrams just made an abbortion of it. I have tolerated a lot, but that jerk has passed my tolrance. Did you know that J. Michael Straczinksi (Babylon 5) had offered to do a premise for free???: He was turned down. ,. (Bad Robot, Bad). HE EVEN CHANGED THE DESIGN OF THE "ENTERPRISE"!!! Is ther no shame???? =Stefan=

  • @ chessic4 there is talk of making a new series. Lots of talk CBS is very interested in getting TREK back on tv. they're shooting for between 2012 and 2014. nothing about plot has been mentioned but several people have pitched ideas. They want to make sure it's done right and lasts longer than "enterprise" Did.

  • So sad there's not even talk of making a new series. Need more interest by the fans to get the attention of Paramount or whoever owns the rights nowadays.

Even if it's going to be another soap opera in space, please give us another Enterprise (and for the love of God, set it in the future not past, relative to the other series).

  • I hearby predict the1st Earth made Interstellar Ship will be named the "Enterprise" much like the first nuclear sub was named the "Nautilus" as an Honorary for the Dream coming alive.

  • "The Enterprise is a beautiful lady and we LOVE her!"--James T. Kirk

  • Great Job! You really captured the spirit of this "Lady". MY Enterprise will always be the "D", ´cause I grew up watching the next generation. I was really sad when she was destroyed, which tells a lot in itself... I mean, being sad because a fictional ship in a movie is destroyed...

  • I think NCC-1701, 1701 A, 1701 E, NX 01 und the latest 1701 where the best ships.

  • SUCH a great job!!!

  • Every time I watch this video, I get choked up right there at the end with Doctor (Admiral) McCoy and Data walking through the corridor of the Enterprise-D.

  • @Trekfan1001 I agree with you one the "C". It was a an ugly ship and I'm glad we didn't see too much of her. The NX-01 I think was an alright ship that could have been better!!!!

I also think I was jumping ahead a bit on the "D". For me personally my in problem with it has always been how low the nacelles are. If they had been higher up, in line with the saucer section that would have been great. So yes I'll admit I'm wrong. It is a fantastic ship!!!!!

  • I came across this video years ago and am heartened to see it is still here. It still resonates. Thank you for leaving this up, from an old Star Trek fan.

  • I hope the new Star Trek movie series continues the tradition and keeps the Lady alive and well! She's a legend and the true star of the show!

  • Little River Band performs the song "Lady".

  • I love it. I think the E should have been the D and the a whole new design of ship. The D was ugly and the saucer section was too high for the nacelles. But I love the Enterprise.

One thing to remember is........there will always be an Enterprise!!!!!!

  • @mrstuartlittle i have to disagree with you here..i grew up with the Enterprise D, and i think its a very elegant ship..if any enterprise is "ugly" it would have to either be NX-01 or the Enterprise C

  • there are alot of people putting out theme music video's that can learn somthing from you

  • Comment removed

  • I just love this...great job!

  • I love this! It almost made me cry.....especially as I think of the gallant Space Shuttles which are to retire this year. Thank you!

**Atlantis, Discovery, Endeavour, and (in memory of Challenger and Columbia)

  • @DarthSnoopy96 And do not forget the Space Shuttle Enterprise (regardless if she never flew in space) ;)

  • @sgtmyers88

Of course! I love the Enterprise orbiter. I have always been thrilled at the honor NASA bestowed upon Star Trek. The Enterprise being at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum is a huge reason I want to visit there!

  • One of the best tributes I think, could have done with Trek music (something by Jerry Goldsmith perhaps), but still an excellent compilation... :)

And the last clip of McCoy and Data always brings a tear to my eye, generations apart, but still the flagship of the fleet... :)

  • I love this...I've played it several times a day every day since I came across it last week...and I've been sharing the link with others! Great job! Wonderful tribute to the USS Enterprise!

  • this is perfect. thank you. god bless Big E.

  • Whats at 0:39?? From where's that?

  • @Sunshrine2

The end of Star trek II: The Wrath of Kahn....

  • nice

  • who sings song (lady) would like to know the name?

  • @irrak2007

    The Little River Band

  • @captjon1 thank you very much for the information

  • @captjon1 one of the most under rated bands...

  • "Always love her, treat her right, never give up on her, and she'll get ya home..."

  • Well done. =Stefan=

  • Ótimo vídeo, parabéns.

  • Great video.

  • The year was 1987, the place, a Sci-Fi/ Comic book convention in Cleveland, Ohio. In one room a television was continously playing fan-made music videos and this song was being played to images from Star Trek:TOS , a few from some of the movies and the first season of ST:NG. It also ended with the scene with Data and McCoy. It put a lump in my throat then and again 23 years later. Bravo.

  • It hurts to see that ship explode=(

  • It hurts to see that ship explode=(

  • The best ship will ALWAYS be the original NCC-1701 "No bloody A, B, C OR D!"

Great ship AND the best crew... NOTHING could beat Kirk with Spock and Bones at his side, no engineering problemn to great for Scotty, no officers so loyal as Sulu and Chekov, and Uhura just was the perfect "eyes and ears" of the team.

Then Picard's Enterpise D, with THAT great crew... then the E, best technical ship... the A, the Defiant, Voyager, NX-01, C, B, and the new one's yet unproven, but has promise! :D

  • Love the song and the ship.

  • That last scene made me cry.

    :=(

  • My personal favorite is the USS Voyager...most advanced ship in the fleet (bio-neural gel packs and comes standard with Seven of Nine)...but the Enterprise will always be the flagship and what Star Trek is about!

  • Personally, I do like the Little River Band song; this concept was done in the early 1990's music with TREK imagery. I do think, the Ent-D with the triple nacelles was the most kick ass ship. NO warp core breach, NO failing shields.... =/\=

  • "the triple nacelles was the most kick ass ship. NO warp core breach, NO failing shields"

I thought that was the Enterprise-E.

    =/\=

  • Nice montage itself, but from 0:48 ahead the shitty "music" brutally murders it and every noble feeling related to the Enterprise.

  • JJ Abrams' staff horribly redesigned the classic with a botch. They horribly plagarised the TMP saucer in his movie. SUCKED!

  • Several decades ago, I was on USS Lang (FF-1060), serving plane guard duty for USS Enterprise (CVN-65). Even then, being around her brought a smile to my face.

  • The Original Enterprise still is the only Real Enterprise to me.

Every othr ship is just another ship with the same name..

  • @Roadracer987654321 i couldn't agree any more with ya!

  • my favorite enterprise has to be D and A comes a close second

  • The Original Enterprise started it all. how do you compete with a Legend that made it all happen ? If they made a few changes to her, here and there, and put her on the movie screen now the Theaters would be packed !

  • Great video. I have to believe that mankind will be able to survive its own stupidity and be able to reach into the universe much like the way Star Trek has envisioned it. One can only hope!

  • @senseisakornsin I think the predictions of 2012 may come true if God see us re-elect Obama.

  • I miss Star Trek

  • I hope that when we *do* finally figure out interstellar travel, they name it Enterprise! XD

  • @ReadmanJ There IS a "starship" (aka spaceshuttle) named Enterprise ;)

  • @QemeH Don't forget the first commercial spaceship, the Virgin Galactic Ship Enterprise. ;)

  • Dammit you made me cry at the end

  • Dr. Mc.Coy speakin to Data -"You treat Her like a Lady, and She'll always bring you home"-This was the correct sentence, sorry for the mistake/mistyping!... U.S.S. Enterprise.....<3

  • Remembering the scene when Dr. Mc.Coy-Bones addressing Data in "Meeting at Farpoint", he says -"Treat Her good, and She will always bring u back to home!"-... U.S.S. Enterprise-NCC-1701-United Federation of Planets... a name, a vessel, a home, a legend!... She will live and last for ever, in the Centuries to come!

  • the d class is more beautiful ship, but i prefer the E Class (more technologically advanced; uses force field windows and faster teleportation)

  • Outstanding job! The scene with McCoy and Data at the end was the perfect way to finish! Well done!!

  • I agree. Lovely touch at the end there but just wish Data was still with us & RIP Deforest Kelley - he was the best, a legend, and is always missed.

    Love Bones and Data!

  • greatest video

  • Fantastic video. Would love to see the TOS stuff replaced with Remastered clips.

  • I really enjoyed this. Thank you for editing it. I know how much time this took. So I appreciate it very much. Excellent.

  • one of the BEST videos on youtube! almost perfect. warp 9.957

  • awsoome vid 5/5

  • iwas responding to winaxdigital dam youtube

  • they used it in star trek 4

  • Brought a tear to my eye...

  • thats the tye in to lady

  • oh i get it admiral mccoy called her a lady

  • little river band yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lovely.

  • By the way, who sings this song? I really like it and would love to know how to get a copy of it. Thanks again. ^_^

  • It's Lady by Little River Band. Great song, eh?

  • I saw the title and assumed it would be Styx, lol. Which would have been better IMO. Laaady, when you're with me i'm Smiling.... Give me woahwoahwoahwoah yourr loooove!!!!!!!

  • Are you nuts?

  • beautiful

  • Do you plan to do a version with footage from the new movie?

  • he should

  • Direct hit amidships!!! on the 'ol sentimental heart strings for greatest iconic symbol in science fiction. Any chance of someone squeezing in the new remastered footage as well?

  • P.S. I think I understand that at 4:23 the song and the video makes sense.

  • Your gonna need someone for sure after that shit comes crashing down

    hahahaha

  • 4:12

"your there when I need you, your there when I neeeeeed (Explosion) I'm gonna need you

  • haha that was funny

  • what happended to the star trek enterprize song that wouldve a good tribute

  • Tht wuz v.well done.

  • OMG, I haven't heard that song in AGES (ya,I'm old,lol)! Geat job! :)

  • USS Federation Star ship..

Short for USS Federal Star ship..

    Hmm..

  • Wauw!!!

    I like this!!!

    Do you have more?

  • Terrific job! Loved it! :D

  • heheh im impressed with how well this is done :) i mean i like how u included all ship class versions of the enteprise.

  • This is an excellent video, well done!

  • Wow! Excellent video...Very well put together. Thank you....

  • the best tv show now there is only crap

  • At 5:36. That awesome scene with Lt. Commander Data and Admiral Leonard McCoy will always touch my heart. "We'll always love and miss you DeForest Kelly, James Dohan, and Majel Barrett-Roddenberry!"

  • Very nice video. Well done.

  • Ahhhh.... the "UPN" logo is a nice touch.

  • Very good. Love the song. Roddenberry was so ahead of his time. Saucer, drive section, two nacelles. Nearly 50 years later and it still looks wonderful. Thanks for putting that together.

  • Good vid, I must say, especially using the clip with McCoy at the end of it. Just a question for general viewers and posters, anyone here read Chris Claremont's DC published graphic novel entitled "Debt of Honor?" It delves into Kirk's grief for NCC-1701 while trying to establish the honor in the name of "Enterprise" for 1701-A.

  • I remember that episode with McCoy. But wouldn't McCoy probably be at least 100-110 years old, given the gap between TOS and TNG and McCoy's age near the end of the TOS era (30-40)?

  • He is 137 years old(born 2227, enterprise-D scene 2364)..but the human life expectancy then is ~140 years...thanks to modern medicine, etc...:)

  • 137? Giving Spock a run for his money

  • Yes. Vulcans can live up to 200

  • I love this video and can honestly say watch it once or twice a week, and each time brings a smile to my face- true trek fans will always appreciate this vid.

  • THANKS!!! I love this. So well put together. Long live the greatest TV/film franchise ever!!!

  • Perfect.

Thank you Captjon1. Enter film school immediately if you're not there already. You got it right all the way.

    Live long and prosper brutha.

BTW, props on the song choice. LRB is one of the gems we should never forget in our lifetime. A timeless song.

  • Great Video!!!

  • Your shameless fan boy!

    lol.

    very very well done!

  • For anyone who is curious, I've been married for four wonderful years to a beautiful woman named Wendy (who is not a Trek fan, believe it or not). We're expecting our first child early next year. I made this video as a side project to bulk-up my editing reel.

  • As a Trekkie since about 1973, I can say I have seen no better, no more touching tribute to the show and the ships named ENTERPRISE!

Just one question: Dude! Have you ever considered dating women?

  • I've considered dating women, but my wife Wendy would get really pissed. Actually, Flagman, I've been married for four years (as of September 5).

  • Just joking dude! My ex wife never understood my STAR TREK habit!

  • "You treat her like a lady and she'll always bring you home."

How true! BTW: very nice vid! The song went well with the Enterprise! Very nicely done! 5/5 stars!!! Make more Enterprise movies!

  • hell yeah!! nice video, im glad they got bones to do that on the first episode of tng

  • The Enterprise was the true star of that show, no matter which registry she went by or which crew manned her. Awesome homage to the Flagship of the Federation! Great work!

  • klasse video:

    1. super idee

    2. fantastische bilder

    3. super song

    4. gigantisches ende

  • Love the ending!

  • whoa! 1:14 looks like quantum leap!

    thats weird

  • I'm really worried that they are going to screw around with the Enterprise for the new Star Trek movie; doe anyone know if it will look like the Enterprise from the original series or will it be 'reimagined', as they call it...

  • it will be kirks Enterprise

  • I don't know but if the fans have their way they wont screw around with it

  • As much as it dissapoints me I think it is impossible it will look like the 60s Enterprise. I bet it'l look quite different.

  • "All I ask is a tall ship...and a star to steer her by"

  • good job on the video where can i get

  • who sings this

  • The Little River Band.

  • "Treat her like a lady and she will always bring ya home!" Damn right!

  • At first I was sure this video would suck. But the song grew on me and who couldn't love the Enterprise?!? Excellent job!

  • There will always be...an Enterprise.

  • The first time I saw the Enterprise auto-destruct, I wanted to cry. Who wouldn't? That's my baby!

  • lol well kirk had no choice but to self destruct the enteprise i mean to be honest self destructing the entepriseA was pointless and a grave mistake.

  • The real star of "Star Trek" in all of it's incantations was always the "Enterprise".

  • The Enterprise is a lady I really think that mankind can create a real space ship designed like the Enterprise.

  • The Enterprise will become the feceration's most updated ship

  • Kirk did love the Enterprise, remember that one TOS episode where Kirk touched the tears of an Elaasan woman and was cured by his true love. That was his ship.

  • I understand the hatred towards the new design of the 1701, but can any Trekkie really deny that they would rather be there than here.

  • I haven't watched this video in ages, so I had forgotten how amazing it was. Kudos to you for mating this shw and this song!

  • Suggestions: I'd take Janeway out of the opening. She didn't have an "Enterprise." For the "I love you best," that has Kirk's back, the shot of him looking at the ship with the reflection would work better, because you could see the look on his face. But this is excellent.

  • I think he created this before the Director's Edition of TMP was released.

  • Earth KICKS BUTT!

  • "You treat her like a lady, and she'll always bring you home." I love that Bones got this line because he's the heart of the crew and the ship was the heart of the show. Best moment of Trek post-"Voyage Home."

Thanks for posting this great trip through memory lane!!!! Well done!

  • I miss the UPN. It was so good.

There would've been 6 more versions of Star Trek by now.

  • There wasn't shit on that 'network' worth watching, except Enterprise. And they cancelled it.

  • "There would've been 6 more versions of Star Trek by now."

Which would have meant the death of Star Trek.

  • Absolutely phenomenal! One of my absolute favorite fan videos.

Whoever made this understands the heart & soul that is "Star Trek"!!!!

  • That was pretty awesome. The scene with bones and Data would've served as a nice introduction to the footage, but nicely done in any event. There are some scenes to episodes I haven't seen and now I'm gonna!

  • lmao. Space Vehicle Enterprise!

  • Very nicely done. I could watch this over and over. You are a true Star Trek fan. Thank you for sharing this.

  • Beautiful piece of work, done by someone who truly understands editing!!

  • quality video although i thought that when lily sloane told picard to blow up the enterprise you should have left the audio in, kind of emphisise the point of the video. brilliant video still!!

  • Wow, that was actually rather touching, I love fan made videos for Trek, the ones that have a heart and soul behind them, because in the end the Trek universe, even though it's all made up, will always have it's own heart and soul and has a special place in alot of people's hearts. It does mine.

Well done, and the line between McCoy and Data made me smile a bit, rather touching.

  • does anyone know if the NCC 1701 E enterprise has a cloaking devise, i have asked people and no one seems to know for sure

  • According to the Federation rules no Federation ships are allowed to have a cloaking device of any kind.

This includes the USS: Enterprise, Serial: NCC-1701-E

  • Activate nerd alerts... now! Circa 2311, the Federation signed the Treaty of Algeron with the Romulans. In it, the Federation was forbidden from developing cloaking technology.

  • Although it was developed by Admiral Erik Pressman with help of Commander William T Riker... This is an episode in TNG (The Pegasus)

  • That was the best! I LOVE YOU. this is by far one of the best videos i have seen on youtube.I love when the NCC 1701-D is about to crash after they seperated from the rest of the ship data is at the brig and goes.." oh SHIT!" lol your the best!

  • The MOST beautiful homage to our beloved Enterprise

  • I am...Wow! You rock dude!! All the well deserved accolades below and more! NCC1701 has always been my favorite member of the Trek universe, and you have captured the "Lady" perfectly! She's Kirk's lady too - ever read the fan work many years back? Can't remember the title but the two were like soulmates. Okay, so now I'll go "get a life". (But first I'm gonna get a Tshirt!) If anyone finds that bit from SNL, please post. LLAP!!

  • AMAZING! Simply amazing. Loved it. Great work. Prefect.

  • That was fantastic! The Enterprise A revealed from behind the Excelsior gave me goosebumps :)
