DJmag Vestax PMC 280 DJ Mixer Review

headphone has a main gain but does it have a blend volume knob so one side doesn't blast and u struggle to hear both records together.I have an old vestax mw3000 and u can't put both headphone cue together uter distortion. looking for the right new mixer THANKS

SHIT! I went & got a Pioneer DJM400, I should have gotten this Vestax! 4 channels as opposed to my Pioneer's 2 channels & it costs about the same. unikPT above is correct. Pioneer are good but there are some better mixers out there. Pioneer is just hype. You're paying for the name. I think this is going to be my next mixer...it looks TASTY!!! Peace out...DJTrueSoul.

Pioneer my be all hype but its stander equipment in all clubs.... I bought an Xone 92 for myself but i had learn how to play on an djm 800 cause every club has one... pioneer is still not bad, better than any Beringer or any other low end mixer... yes my xone sounds better but it also makes shitty MP3 sound like ass where the pioneers digital conversion makes them sound much better

Just one this. This Vestax Class PMC280 isnt better than Pioneers. If you want really good vestaxes go Buy the old PCV175,185 or 275 or PCM55 , you have also the beast PMC-CX (Carl Cox) , that one have analogic VU's. also the VCM600 is made with the same knobs than PMC280 that arent so good. by the other hand. Vestax surprised me a lot when we decided to put in the market the TR-1 which is made with the some knobs and parameter curve as the PCV series and PMC55/CX. TR-1 is fuckin dope. and....

i think this one is one of the mxier wich is realy cheap and chherfull, because it has professional fx section, good long living faders and is realy worth its money, also I think, that pioneer doing a bad job atm, much to expensive and not even much better, so buy this one and get lucky for a long time, this is realy quality product!

but does it already have preset beats for you to do effects off of? or do you make your own beats and put it on there? if so, how do you make your own beats to put on the mixer to do cool effects off of? man i dont know how any of this stuff works, its too complicated??

This mixer does suffer from dodgy Gain & eq controls . My mate sent a brand new one back to the supplier & the replacement went tits up just after the 1 year warranty expired.

Also the controls are a bitch to see in the dark as they ara black on black.

The fx are ok but do get boring to use pretty quickly....Unnecassary.

you have to count each bpm of each song you have there are not any real bpm with the bpm counters

The crossfader on the PMC-280 is not adjusted right for scratching

i agree. its tough to do the crab scratch with this fader. i bought it bout 4-5 months ago. and the fader is starting to bleed. if your looking for a mixer with a good fader, go with a rane 56 or if you can afford it 57

I had this mixer... its very good for the money, although I've gone Pioneer and gone for the DJM-909 which is much better than this mixer, but also twice the price!

hi i ve got this mixer and i love it nice effects four channel and it isn t very expensive it s as expensive as the djm 400 and it have two channel more and more effects but this mixer doesn t have bpm compter and for begginer like me it s harder

mine had a blug so it s actually on maintenance

Vestax Components are Very Better than Pioneer One. Including Faders. More precise than Pioneer Faders. The Equalization is more precise algo. Gain also more Precise. The Cuts. cut all you can Listen. If you want to compare some mixer with Vestax. Go Get Urei , Rane , Allen & Heath or Others from That Category. Pioneer its Just Hype.

@buzbee1991 well it's a shame to pioneer if DJM2000 isnt better LOLOL. But anyway if we go to top notch mixers like Urei and Rane. well you can put the DJM2000 inside the milk and eat it. Because Real Fluid Mix its not with faders and EQ.

God, Vestax sucks! I mean they always try to copy from pioneer,but always screw up... I would fuck up for sure with these tiny buttons playing in dark club. I can only hope that Vestax will learn from their mistakes and maybe one day they'll make something really great :)

the effects on that actually look pretty good! am curious why they put the controls for them at the top rather than at the side though. for the price though that seems like a great deal, far better than the awful effects on the Numark FX5000 which I had a couple years ago which was similarly priced
