  • Kind of strange they're playing at a baseball pre-game promo! It must be the Calif.Angles.

  • So is that Don Grady from My Three Sons with the sunglasses on and under the floppy yellow hat? I know he was the original drummer in the group. Was he still under contract to Disney at the time, so Walt wasn't supposed to know who he was?

  • something seems phony here, they are lip synching to the tune...is the actual singer of the record, present, or is this a promo band?

  • I stand corrected. I was thrown off by the number on Casey's back, which I assumed was a bat boys uniform, usually the same as the year they are playing in.

  • The ball players look real thrilled to hear their song at the end.

  • My Three Yellow Balloons

  • Not real important, but a comment on the 3rd page said it was Anaheim Stadium. Actually that's Dodger Stadium. The Angels used it from 1962-1965.

  • @stattad Actually the song Yellow Balloon didn't exist in 1965. This clip is from 1967. This is Anaheim Stadium.

  • Such a cool song....makes me want to go back to California....

  • what happened to good music like this?

  • I heard this for the first time, played at a school friend's summer pool party, with sun reflecting off the cool water.

  • I still have the 45 record. On the flipside the song is backwards including the spelling on the label.

  • Looks like Don Grady(Robbie on My Three Sons) is down-playing his appearance.i guess the song reached #25 in the pop charts in '67.

  • @philo426

  • Jan and Dean's version is actually better...

  • The first time I heard of this band was in an article on what is now called "Sunshine Pop" in Wikipedia. The song's alright, could be ripe for a remake, but I don't think they got much farther because they sounded too much like the Beach Boys, who have now been put under the Sunshine label.

  • Wow a young Casey Kasem with a smoother voice. You can almost hear Shaggy in him.

  • Bubblegum at its best..........

  • how about posting the flip side of the single= Noolab Wolley...the song and title of song , backwards...

  • I wish all those good songs would be reborn.

  • i dont believe those guys actually sang the song in the studio..their voices did not sound anything like the record when they sang that dipshit angels song live.....

  • @olhobbler Weird comment. It was CLEARLY the same guys.

  • Thanks for your support, nice to hear after all these years.

  • When this song came out in 1967 I really liked it. I was disappointed because it didn't catch on and faded out quick. A couple of years later I was drafted and sent to Vietnam. To my surprise the armed forces radio station started playing this song and jt became a big hit jn Vietnam. This bubbly feel good song helped to lighten the mood in a time of stress. Thanks for putting this on youtube.

  • @upsguy2002 - First. THANK YOU FOR YOUR MILITARY SERVICE. Even us peace activists FULLY SUPPORTED THE SOLDIERS & your decision(s) to participate. I'm glad you came back alive and, I hope, healthy. I'm pleased that music once again proved it's worth if this uplifting song helped all of you survive Vietnam. I wish you joy & success; you deserve it for stepping up to the plate & doing the hardest job on Earth so the rest of us can live in freedom. THANK YOU, AGAIN, AND BEST WISHES ALWAYS.

  • OMFG I haven't heard this great song in AGES! This is what makes Youtube so incredible!!!! :)

  • on a rainy afternoon....good song

  • There's some bubble gum to chew on!

  • I just love this song, always did, got the single. It's a song i defenitly associate with the good(guys)bands, like the Lemonpipers, Mindbenders, Cyrcle, Merry-Go-Round, Cowsills, Hermans Hermits & The Association. It seems funny I should look at Bands that way, but The Rollingstones, Doors and Cream were quite the opposite, whereas The Beatles, Byrds, Union Gap & Troggs were somewhere in the middle. You can sometimes judge a band by the overall appearance of the members...look at these guys!

  • @Ezdduf4kuZ - Right you are. I'm so grateful for CD's, DVD's and YouTube so I can hear the tunes of all the great bands you mention. I've made certain my children have heard much of this uplifting music. My teens complain that they "just can't dance" to most of the pop recordings today. I do also appreciate the neat and groomed appearance. Best Wishes to you.

  • @Ezdduf4kuZ You got that perfect! They really do sound like the Cowsills before the Cowsills. I told our d.j. about that just a couple of weeks ago. KXMO don't have Yellow Balloon "yet" hopefully they will get it up at "jack radio" the programmers....

  • You could tell The Angels weren't into it.

  • Yes. The venue is Angels Stadium in Anaheim.

  • Is that Casey Kasem Hosting.

  • Jan & Dean's version is better!!!!

  • it sure is !!!!! was a hush hush thing back then i think with my 3 sons contract Great song

  • "The Angels gonna leave them lame...just like a yellow balloon"....?

The boys need some help with self-promotion.

That's Don Grady in the hat, right?
