The bongos are DEFINITELY not tuned up high enough, but regardless it's obvious that his technique is very poor. It's a shame really because there's a lot of evidence of very good rhythm, you should definitely look at a couple of videos of the masters - anthony carrillo, johnny rodriguez, jimmy delgado - and work on imitating the sounds they get from their open tones, slaps, and 'quemados'(after tuning them right)

Lo que sucede es que la gente que critica lo que la gente toca diferente es porque esa gente tiende a seguir un patron y al ver un cambio en algo sencillamente critican como la gente que comento de forma vulgar... Cada quien toca como desea, como lo sienta, cada quien afina los bongo a la nota que desee, la musica no exige seguir un patron cada quien hace sonar los bongo como le guste y punto...

As others have said, these bongoes are tuned too far down. Another possibility is that the heads are knackered.

@jacksonsinmichael las cosas pueden ser distaintas,si,pero en algunos casos si pierde su base,su tradicion,ya no es lo mismo:los cueros van en la sangre desde el pequeño hasta el mas grande,los cueros se sienten en su repicar,no tengo dudas que si lo afina y hace el mismo solo los hace hablar y nos hace sentir a todos lo que nacimos con el don de darle a los cueros como bembelecua.
