If that Macbook is what he does all of this stuff on, then has someone mix it, or does it all himself, or then takes the tracks to another studio, etc. I'd also love to know just what his story his story is!? In the video, he's sitting on the floor turning guitar pedal knobs, but is that just for the video, or is he actually manipulating sound that way? Cuz he's not playing guitar while he's doing it?

Yes he plays the the tambourine and it shows it several times but not quite the pattern that I hear playing at the beginning of the song. There are at least 3 layers of purcussion jingles and not all are playing the same pattern. What I don't see Jack playing the the initial jingle sound that starts at 0:03 sounds more like sleigh bells.

What you might be hearing are metal brushes on a his cymbal. He shows the first use of the brushes at 0:06, the first use of a tambourine at 0:30 and the first use of sleigh bells and tambourine at 1:23. The brushes tend to sound metallic like bells or a tambourine would, so I can understand how you would have heard that. ;-) Hope that was helpful. =P

I think he either recorded it with two cameras, or played the exact same thing, recording it from two different perspectives (yet close) - and then mixing the two together.

I am not sure how he's doing it but if you film yourself playing the same drum line 3 times with a slightly different camera angle each time, you end up with three pieces of footage where the actions are more-or-less in sync with each other. Then you can rapidly cut from one shot to another, giving you a similar effect.
