Well done, how lovely, in my country the Church can't ring bells any more because it supposedly "Disrupts peace" there are some specific times like Christmas when they can ring them, but Bells are magnificant, they sing to the clouds the glory of God's name, what a wonderful Church is our Holy Catholic Church!
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Today (June 15), we sang this as our opening hymn. It is #858 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship in the Praise, Thanksgiving section. Just thought I'd share.
Pretty interesting. I seen carillons played via a "keyboard" for the fists but never by a rope mechanism like what is shown in the video. Does this method of playing carillons predate the keyboard?
Good job! I would be hitting and mostly missing. What skill...I never really thought that someone actually played the bells, I thought it was all electronic...but wait, before electricity?? What do I know.
