Im playing through curious village now and i only hate two puzzles so far the rope and the coins one(yea im going to spend ten minutes tracing a rope) and the bickering neighbor one where their paths can't cross i hated that one I beat it only with luck after like an hour!!!!
CIV5 and older Civ/Alpha Centauri/Colonization games have all been manageable for me, if I play small/medium maps. It's a scale thing, you get the kicks with less scale, and it's LOT less daunting.
You should all try Gladiator Begins(distributed under Aksys Games) on the PSP! It's a sequel/remake of Colesium Road to Freedom on the Ps2(distributed by Koei). they are both really good games. The demo is kind of like Monster Hunters Demo's. Where they give you shit armor and weapons and you have to fight a boss that's too hard. Monster Hunter is a great game too, but the demo probably ruined some sales. Anyway Peace

@tobin00 I was actually just about to call about APB's shutdown. I was one of teh betatesters for it and I can tell you very few of us were happy with them releasing it when they did.
The game itself lasted 2.5 months after initial promo-releases and they IMMIDIATELY, shut their server down. hey gave one or two announcements and it was shut down within a few days of said announcements (I wasn't palying so I dont know specifics).
Currently, people are theorizing that Epic may buy the title.
CIV: Don't *have* to buy tiles as culture still increases your land. Player AI is *awful* and mean and stupid and evil. Automated units are *awful* (workers will build over existing improvements and sometimes just wander off into far reaches of a map and get killed). *No* post-game analysis/stats anymore. *No* multiplayer leaderboards or stat tracking (in 2010!?). Civ has proven to be a disappointment. Feels incomplete in many areas *SIGH*. Feels more stagnant than evolved, sadly.
I dunno whether I'm an RPG geek or what, but I don't consider 26 hours into a game that much. My old Fallout 3 save has 184 hours logged (which is probably the most time I've invested into one game). My Kingdom Hearts saves range from 40 to 80 hours. And you don't want to know what my Final Fantasy saves are like.
But you can't really compare the amount of content in those games with Professor Layton. But anyway, I do agree that the camera mini-game was bullshit. I liked the tea one, though.
I love Dead Rising 2, the co-op is actually extremely smooth! I havent had any lag issues considering the number of zombies. I did have an issue with my partner being disconnected whenever I save, but when he saves I dont get disconnected.

However, not being a Halo fanboy and playing Reach for what it is, it's actually a pretty good game. The story isn't the best from the series, but the campaign's gameplay is pretty fun and unique. Im not sure if you know but your military can go on water without using a boat
You city gets squares automatically i find it more fun to wait until i have a lot of money and then just use all of it at a time on land (you'd want to save some for units if you play that way)

Guys, GUYS! You really need to try the Enslaved Demo on Xbox Live.. I just did, and I'm absolutely gonna pre-order it.
It is a demo of the tutorial level, so it's not too challenging. The demo shows of amazing set peices, a complex combat system(Given you only play 20 minutes), and some amazing voice acting, and actually some platforming aswell, where I love the fact that you can't jump of ledges into the abyss, which is something I usually hate.

Hey Tobin and Yuzo, I know you guys are probably getting sick and tired of everyone telling you to review Halo: Reach. I was actually sick and tired of the series when Halo 3 came out. However, not being a Halo fanboy and playing Reach for what it is, it's actually a pretty good game. The story isn't the best from the series, but the campaign's gameplay is pretty fun and unique. I really don't care if you guys review it or not, just from one gamer to another, you might want to check it out

@Hayashirice911 Currently rockin' an HP Blackbird Intel Core 2 Q6600, 2 SLI GeForce 9800 GT's, 2GB ram. It's about three years old now and starting to show its age in SC2 and Civ5.
New rig will be i7 930 (overclocked to 3.36Ghz), ATI 5970, 12GB Triple Channel 1600Mhz DDR3. Also planning on doing 2 40GB OCZ Vertex SSD in Raid 0 config.

Over 100 hours.... 40-50% completion rate.... :S I got the special edition of Yakuza 3 with some more stuff. Love the game though but once I beat it I accidently saved over my clear data and I had to start again. I mean... the game is long as hell.

Recomendation for Yuzo about Civ5:
If you doint like there being so many city states go under advanced when you make a game and choose how many you want in a game
set all your workers to improve automatically
Im not sure if you know but your military can go on water without using a boat
You city gets squares automatically i find it more fun to wait until i have a lot of money and then just use all of it at a time on land (you'd want to save some for units if you play that way)

Guys, GUYS! You really need to try the Enslaved Demo on Xbox Live.. I just did, and I'm absolutely gonna pre-order it.
It is a demo of the tutorial level, so it's not too challenging. The demo shows of amazing set peices, a complex combat system(Given you only play 20 minutes), and some amazing voice acting, and actually some platforming aswell, where I love the fact that you can't jump of ledges into the abyss, which is something I usually hate.
Huge thumbs up for the demo! Game pre-ordered!
