your vids remind me of the game grad theft auto i think its because of the slow speeds of the cars and trucks plus ur riding style is either full throttle or slowing down.. hahaha its funny i wonder if anyone else can see it..
I'm from Hong Kong and I'm disappointed that you found HK to be "no fun".
HK isn't for everyone. If you have claustrophobia, dislike for crowds, confined spaces, loud noises, etc, then HK isn't for you. But if you like to see one of the world's largest, most energetic, dynamic multicultural urban metropolis, then HK is the place to be.
did you say 2000 dollers cuz i nearly had a heart attack untill i realised thats £1000 ish so yeah thats not bad but to get a flight would cost like the same so i couldent do it
@KaltorRotis Well if he plans on spending more than a month in Taiwan he'll need to learn. Either that or be sitting on the back of scooters while 5 foot tall girls ride.
North of Pakistan is supposed to be amazing but terrorist groups dominate some areas, also Snow Leopards roam free there so that is risky.
I would love to go on a tour, i have the money its just getting time off work, the next 6 months is the busiest time of the year for the organisation i work for, if i did get time off i do not have a driving license or a motorbike license.
Good luck to you and everyone that goes on the tour.
@w35t51d369 I've been to the North of Pakistan and I can tell you it is amazing. The great image and scenery of Pakistan has been ruined by the leaders and the media. Shame. :(
Thinking of going to Taiwan soon, your video's given me some inspiration.
shouldnt worry about such a strict schedule, if your running late due to your group looking at unexpected things then thats the beauty of adventuring!
It's getting there M13. Glad to hear your tours are getting more popular, let's hope you'll be doing them almost full time in the future and make a good living on them. Because like Lo'real commercials say.."You're worth it!" (deserve it in this case)
Also glad to hear you mention Iceland, where I'm from! :p
Thailand sucks. It is way to westernized nowadays. Taiwan is so much better because it isn't as westernized as Taiwan. I guess that is just my opinion. If you want to experience culture Taiwan is leaps and bounds better then Thailand. I guess this can be more heavily directed at Bangkok and the beaches. Northern Thailand would still retain allot more culture.
@kazz330 He went to Taiwan not knowing any Chinese, or even really knowing what Taiwan was like, that is if I remember correctly. He might have learned a few things to get by, but he didn't learn the whole language in Canada I know that.
When you completely immerse yourself in a language you can pick it up in a couple years, but if you learn a different language in a place that doesn't speak it will take you far far longer then 2 years.
Taiwan was my favorite asian country of the three I visited. China is freaking crazy nuts. Japan is too controlled, expensive and boring. Taiwan is the happy medium. The Mama bear. Time for me to stop posting.
@theJdoggIMS You gotta check out Cambodia, and Vietnam, they are both freaking amazing. Always go for culture and the least touristy places first and you won't be disappointed. I never go with the norm when it comes to travelling.
@b4igetu Hope to one day, but I'm wrapped up visiting japan again(personal reasons) and grad school. Maybe, a trip to vietnam and cambodia will be a graduation gift to myself if I can afford the airfare. Too many places and not enough time and cash.
@suranjangupta22 He never said it was EXACTYLY 2 Grand. He probably meant that it usually costs around $2000 to get there and spend 10 days in Taiwan. At least that is what I would assume. But that is only with my meager amount of common sense....
Western = European. So yeah, I'd say Australia is Western since it's mostly populated by people of European extraction and has a very high standard of living.
You're fine saying Australia is western. It may not be geographically western, but it certainly is culturally.

@jsbgamer21 yes total flying time for me the two times I went over were in the 20 hour range. I had about two lay overs one in the States and one in Japan. If you live in NY or LA you might be able to get a direct flight which shaves off a few hours. Otherwise you're screwed.
@Lupusxxi24 You aren't looking in the right places. I can get a round-trip flight Taiwan-Canada for around 1200 Canadian. Yep, just googled it. It's 800 dollars plus 300 in flight taxes. That's 1100. Big difference from over 3000.
I've never been to Taiwan but been to Thailand once. I found Thailand to be too commercial and touristsy (everybody is after your dollar and i'm not into underage girls like M13). Judging by his videos though, Taiwan strikes a good balance between sufficiently developed and while yet retaining its exoticness. The scenery are prolly nicer. Wish i could join your tour, so have fun whoever is going and great success to your tour M13.
What about Japan? I went touring yesterday and it was perfect. Once you get out of the cities, there are almost no people, the roads are empty. Well built roads and amazing infrastructure. Beautiful mountains and lakes.
@13mordeth I think pretty much everywhere is 3 times more expensive than in Taiwan. There is a big myth that Japan is very expensive. This is mainly because Tokyo is often named the most expensive city in the world. Expensive? Sure, if you want a large house with a double garage in the middle of the city just like the criteria for the most expensive city ranking. When they come here, many people are surprised at how much cheaper Japan is compared with Australia, etc...
@blabby102 China is less expensive than Taiwan....Shanghai, for a major city, is incredibly inexpensive...i recall their giant bottles of beer for, like, .50 usd and a ride across the entire city for maybe $5 usd
@blabby102 Yeah, Japan is really expensive by comparison. A nice place to visit, but you will need to shell out a lot more cash for an equivalent experience.
@superp63 Which means that the queue at the airport is shorter than ever! Bonus!
I wouldn't say that anywhere is flooded though...Full of dead people, only around the coast in the Touhoku area...Packed with radiation.....Only within 20km of the Daiichi power plant.
I wondered about the airfare thing when I was reading the tour info, and, of course, (as usual), now I feel stupid. Then again, I was reading it while I was pretty damn tired.
Yes we are considered a Western Country lol I went to Taiwan back in Feb this year, it wasn't that cold but it was wet (Taipei but visted other parts to) stayed there for just over a week to decide if I want to study there. Looks like I will come end of 2012. I think Japan is closer to us than Taiwan but I could be wrong because I had to transfer in Singapore to Taiwan but to Japan I went streight through (the flight times are longer).
I recently sold my truck. The money would have had me as a definite for 2012 if it happens but I needed to fix some things at home first. 2WAT USA? I dunno, I just want to put that idea into the ether :)
i'm gonna donate when i get a credit card for the private series and will do the tour when i'm older (a few more 3 or 4 years) :)

@blabby102 and.. its flooded.. full of dead people.. and packed with radiation
