Frankly, the author's name is not correct, because we know that this song is by Jan Hammer. But if we consider that this one is a cover of the original, was excellent. I believe that these things are worth analyzing. The arrangement of the synthesizer was excellent and we can say that was an excellent version. Oblivious to the credit errors to the author wrongly, regardless, I get the music!

@molarmama5 Miami Vice used a replica of the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 it was a "Kit Car" built on a Corvette chassis and engine.The car was dubbed "Daytona" by the press, having come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in that race. In one episode the car was destroyed and replaced by a real Testarossa (means readhead in Italian) when Ferrrari saw their gorgeous car being represented by a fiberglass fake. Ferrari won lawsuits against several kit car manufacturers.

@molarmama5 Ferrari does not put Corvette engines in their cars, it would practically be sacrilegious! Ferrari engines are handcrafted and a work of art. But Americans do build Ferrari replicas on the Corvette platform, and that is the case here; even the seats were reused from a Corvette. The Fiero mid-engine car was also very popular as a doner car for Lamborghini and Ferrari kitcars for many years and you will see them on eBay often.

this is as stupid as Samuel Adams being pressured into making a lite beer. This is horrible. The original was married with imagery to invoke a physiological response in the viewer. This soundtrack is akin to lite beer commercials accusing men being pussies for choosing other lite beers over the more manly lite beers. Its a shite cover version of Crockets Theme by Jan Hammer, most probably from one of those crappy cheap theme CDs available in service stations. @WoolwichGunner no, its not. I've been a hardcore JMJ fan since 1987 and into electronic music since 1980. There are no collaborations between Vangelis and Jarre, and even if there was, they wouldnt do a crappy cover version of a Jan Hammer track.

If you can 100% prove me wrong, with links to their collaborative releases then I will eat my own hat. Perhaps you have seen some cheap nasty "The Music of Jean Michel Jarre & Vangelis" CD, that are just cheap & nasty cover versions.

What really annoys me is when you get those god awful cover CDs, eg "The Music Of Jean Michel Jarre" and its never clear on the packaging that its NOT THE ORIGINAL MUSIC. Quite often appalling inferior versions. This sort of thing here annoys me too (this upload). Not only is it not the original, but they cant even get the artist correct. Very poor.
