  • sad thing is thats how everyone drives around here lol

  • That ambualnce driver rocks!! haha, I felt bad once they new yorked him at the end. Endless number of cars spawning out of nowhere for the ambo driver.

  • AARP JUST SOLD OUT TO THE FEDs. OBAMA CARE PAID OFF AARP.

AARP's payoff FROM the FEDS, (Rothschilds Illuminate) (Bush's TRILATERALS)

for endorsing ObamaCare AARP disguises its ins. profit as "non-profit royalties"receives preferential tax treatment as a result—the company pays no fed income tax on its ins. income Obama Admin Exempts AARP's Medigap Insurance Policies from Rate Review and Premium Restrictions Imposed on Other Health Policies under ObamaCare ENDORSING OBAMBAM...

  • My brother owns his own senior ins. agency. He says he has been forced into a moral dillema about the new Medicare package thats coming. He stands to make bigger profits but at the expense of the senior citizens. He's not happy about the choices he's left with. His choices are to enrole seniors in a more expensive plan that he doesn't agree with, or close the doors of his business. AARP was the leader in making this happen. They are only improving their bottom line. Seniors lose. Boycott AARP

  • My daughter is suffering from 101 degree fever and you are telling me you are on a break!!!

  • @yesilike101 Yes, so deal with it.

  • Also, the maturity of the conservatives making comments here is very low, hilarious.

  • As someone invovled in EMS, and a liberal democrat, I think this ad speaks a lot of truth, even if it is a little hypocritical (AARP = liberal special interest group)

The blocking of the ambulance is only slightly symbolic, as this whole thing has a huge effect on all private companies, and some federal EMS departments as well; a business that we can't affod to get in the way of.

  • @cory640 Oh my god! I was on the highway and an ambulance was behind me, I punched the gas and flew 130 miles an hour!

  • Im most def going to refuse medicare. Unlike most Americans i take responsibility for myself. Lazyness and lack of responsibility is going to be the downfall of this country.

  • Despite it's liberal agenda, this commercial is very well made.

  • AARP is in bed with the current Administration!! F------ Whores!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Giv'em Hell!

  • What a fucking joke AARP is.

  • @mrchev2000 AARP IS a special interest group!

  • This commercial is bullshit and AARP can Suck dick

  • How very mature of you.

  • Maybe I saw this add a little different. The head of AARP has stated multiple times that they are not taking a stand on this issue - nor endorsing a particular plan. Yet how many plans are before congress that have already been passed on one house? ONE - HR3200. I see this as an endorsement of that plan - and calling those in opposition the bad guys. But that beind said - I thought it ironic that the vehicles causing trouble are GM and Chrysler - while the Ambulance trying to save - FORD.

  • This video is great, but not for the reasons the AARP thinks. All the bad guys are GM/Chrysler products - companies owned by the government. Yes, the government is the bad guy in health care reform. Very accurate.

  • you gopers need to hang yourselves,,,, really this commercial hit the nail on the head..... OMFG its so scary to go to a hospitol and get taken care of. lets see get shit for our tax money or let people die oweing taxes and not getting shit for it? great choice lets just pay all this money to get nothing in return but outrageous insurance premiums and DENIAL of service anyway.... yea great fuckin system

  • So, people are trying to scare us dumb Americans with scare tactics, etc, yet this ad shows an ambulance being impeded by Big Black Evil SUVs.

Sure, ok...I won't be joining the AARP, which is now just another government bureau, with a nice acronym.

    Piss off.

  • Hey, AARP,

    FUCK YOU

  • What complete & total bull & anyone who took the time to read the bill knows it. The proposal is a power grab & the first ppl who will suffer is the aged.

There are numerous was to get health care to the uninsured w/out the FedGov taking over. Funny how it is only the DEMS who refuse to discuss different options.

When the POTUS & every member of the Congress give up their coverage & take what they want us to have, then it's a bill worth having.

    Funny that keep EXEMPTING themselves!!

  • You get it. Government cannot run anything. Look at Social Security. Some civil servant telling others what to do makes no sense. This bill is so bad that Congress exempted itself from the care/Bill.

  • Great illustration of what is happening! The lower classes are being brain washed by the corporate insurance companies and the republicans... the visual is powerful! I will re-post this everywhere. I know the Majority of country loving Americans want access to public option. Only the traitors refuse it.

  • I love the visual impact of this ad. It's a shocking thing to see someone intentionally impeding an ambulance. Really ad genius here.

As for the people against federalized healthcare options, let's see them give up their medicare benefits. Let's see how they feel about revoking social security. Because those are socialist programs too, you know. Let's revoke foodstamps too, let the strongest survive and see how that helps our society.

  • I hope they do revoke social security cus when i get old enough to use it, it wont be there anymore. I am responsible enough to invest my own money the way i feel fit i dont need the government to do it for me.

  • social security also helps people who are disabled and can't work anymore, not just old people. If it got revoked those people would be skrewed unless they won the lottery.

  • Yah well do some research on what social security has done thats all i gotta say

  • the social security system is flawed, but that isn't a good enough reason to get rid of it. I would appreciate it if people who are lazy or stupid couldn't take advantage of the system so it wont cost as much for the taxpayers.

  • Im responsible enough to invest and save my own money. I dont need a government program to do it for me.

  • And Social Security will be giving out IOUs in about 10 years because it is going broke also.

  • Same with Health insurance. If Americans wernt such disgusting fatasses eating themselves to death and actually took the responsibility to keeping themselves healthy instead of living however they wanted and expecting the government to fix them for free everytime they got sick our healthcare system wouldnt be in the situation it is in today and we wouldnt be having this problem....

  • This is so true

  • Off topic, but; as a volunteer fire fighter/EMT I can say that this video is an accurate and true depiction on knuckle heads who cannot get out of the way of an ambulance responding to a emergency call.

  • I don't have kids but pay for public schools -- gladly.

    1. Insurance Companies are standing between patients and doctors.

    2. They can arbitrarily claim "pre-existing conditions" and deny you coverage after you've been paying premiums.

    3. They can DROP you if you make a claim.

We need reform which includes regulations and a robust public OPTION without taxing us on health care benefits. It can be done immediately by rolling back the Bush tax cuts on the rich and limit deductions to 28%.

  • not according to the CBO it can't. it will cost 2 trillion dollars before any administration for the plan is even added in. Look at the CBO reports. Plus they have to cut Medicare (keeping the same people though) if they want to keep it under 2 trillion dollars of loss.

  • I love how this video is made, so true.

  • Im confused.... I keep hearing over and over and over again how AARP is NOT in support of the healthcare bill.... yet they make commercials in favor of it???

  • There is no unbiased news/information sources in America.

Best thing is to check the bill yourself.

I have a video, HR 3200 that gives points of concern with this bill, AND a link to the bill so you can fact check it. Don't just take my word for it, see it in the print. THEN you will know.

  • oops

The name of my video is HR 3200 TRUTH SQUAD.

  • AARP is confused. LOL

  • I really hate the way they made this commercial.

It is talking about what is WRONG with the health care bill, but most people won't follow it well enough to understand that.

They will believe the AARP is backing HR3200, which they have clearly stated they Do Not.

  • really? that don't say that on their site...why not? where do they say that 'clearly'?

the AARP is on the list of HR 3200 supporters on the list...search for HR3200 supportlist pdf

  • ill send the link to you from ABC news on your comments page since you cant post a url here

  • actually it does say that on their site.

    blog . aarp . org / shaarpsession /2009/08/for_the_record_1 . html

  • "...get rid of all the programs that the FEDS should not be involved in" ... ... Conservatives say they hate entities like Medicare yet when a Democratic Congressman offered up an amendment to repeal Medicare it was unanimously voted down (that included conservatives).

    /watch?v=sTh-Yu9RfF0

You are being fooled if you believe anyone in mainstream politics wants to repeal such Federal programs. (PS: while you're at it stay off interstate highways, the Fed's built them)

  • "$1000.00 ride to the hospital because they have a Cold" ... ... ... The way you prevent people from freeloading off an ER trip is to give them affordable access to preventative primary care that pays dividends in savings on the back end (and by the way then forces them to pay into the pot instead of just leeching). You should be for that good sir!

  • WE need to get rid of all the programs that the FEDS should not be involved in. ALL OF THEM! They should be limited to what the constitution lays out and that is it! Lazy government leaches need to get off thier back ends and become productive citizens. All the other problems can be cared for through pure charitable donation. I am tired of being taxed to pay for everyone else.

  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but not their own facts. The US pays more per person yet has a low health index among first world nations. Other nations have a strong public option where guaranteed health to all is considered part of what makes a strong nation. We fought communism and won rightly so; but clinging to the other end of the spectrum believing an unregulated free market will prevail in -all- sectors has been proven wrong. Health care insurance is one of those exceptions.

  • My decision to cancel my AARP membership several years ago has proved correct beyond my wildest imagination.

  • LOL

  • How much did we the members of AARP pay for that Propaganda ad!

    I am so angry!

    Peace

  • AARP claims not to have endorsed any plan. Well, this ad proves that AARP is run by a bunch of liars.

  • The Pelosi/Emmanuel/Obama gov run

health care proposal (HR 3200) is right down the agenda of the left wing leaders of AARP. I surprise that it took some people this long to figure out what AARP is all about. I cancelled my membership years ago. Even the head of AARP is trying

to 'JIVE 'everyone along with Obama!

  • The way that the AARP has behaved regarding this issue has not only lost them thousands of present members. It is losing them thousands of potential future members, as well.

  • what is with all the Dodge calibers!! lol

  • There trying to show it white Americans who are apposing and try to stop their savior, and the government has never done anything cheaper.

When I worked in a defense plant I seen them waste millions of dollars, because the government was paying and wanted it done there way.

Every new project we reinvented the wheel every time, instead of applying changes to make it cheaper like the private sector would do.

So if you think government is going to save you money, check your head location

  • It's not just white Americans opposing it. Race has nothing to do with it.

  • Essentially you are right, but in may quarters the message is: if you oppose Obama's agenda, your a racist. It is utterly stupid, but when all else fails play the race card.

  • What a bunch of crap! No is saying that if you disagree with the President your a racist. I would probably say that it makes you irrational and hypocritical.

The bulk of the federal budget is mainly Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security, Defense along with others and all three of these are causing massive deficits now and will be worse without reform. Simply put, we need a robust public option to keep the costs of health care down. It would also add competition to the market as well.

  • Just because 80 percent know something is wrong, mostly brought on by government regs, doesn't mean the obama is right, there more people against it and the only ones standing for it are getting paid.

We need to get government back to the people at the local front, Washington is supposed to be there to handle wars and commerce between states and foreign countries, not to run our life's or rather ruin of life's and pissing our money away .

  • IMO, imposing fines for not switching coverage to the government option is not providing choice, it is using brute force.

  • Comment removed

  • Why is it if we voice our opinion,we are automatically wrong if we don't bow to the obama.

We need to kick all the politicians in bed with the insurance company's and everyone else who give them a buck out of office, we need a recall started right now to pull them all out of office, unless you like being told your not smart enough to know what you want.

  • If you bow to the Obama, you'll be by yourself. What you will bow to is the will of the people. More than 80-percent of America agrees that HC reform is needed. Pres Obama is the signer, not the beneficiary. He's already got his--for life. Our health care issues are not going to personally affect him; he's only trying to help us.

  • Sweet!! You even loaded the video up with government owned GM and Chrysler vehicles! The AARP is becoming a JOKE!

  • OMG - they used American vehicles!!!! And they probably shot the scenes from a BLACK HELICOPTER TOO! And it was probably staffed by UN people. OMG total conspiracy!

    Seriously, get a grip.

  • This video is awsome it really shows how good the government has got at sponsoring propaganda!! 2 thumbs up!!

  • Insurance companies are in the business of making profits, and they make more profit the less care they provide.

That's how US healthcare ends up being like the US cellphone system: most expensive in the world, and the least coverage.

  • "The government imposes regulations on the insurance companies that guaranty they will be inefficient."

Indeed, insurance companies should not be allowed to make profit by essentially stealing money from their customers.

See, corporations have quite a different idea than most people about what "efficiency" means.

  • I hope AARP paid enough to make this commercial because I definitely think less of them after having seen it.

  • The government imposes regulations on the insurance companies that guaranty they will be inefficient . They can then point to the lack of sucess & scream for another buracracy to replace a system that would work a lot better if left alone. Reward people for being illegal, unproductive, or plain losers. They become dependant on the government for more & more at the expense of fewer & fewer. In the words of a prominent theologen "THE CHICKENS ARE COMING HOME TO ROOST".

  • Insurance companies are imposing their OWN regulations denying people who ACTUALLY pay their premiums. That is just blatantly unfair, while their CEOS take home millions of dollars in pay. The rest of the world is laughing at the stupidity and ignorance of the the US.

  • YES, just like what has happened to Medicare....just on a larger scale. Physicians currently cannot take medicare and stay in business, it take a supplemental insurance to just break even. Someone in AARP is making a lot of money selling the seniors out to this ideology.

  • The only thing that is broken in Medicare is Medicare Advantage where the government is SUBSIDIZING the insurance companies. Get rid of the subsidies, and it will be fine. The Medicare overhead is less than 5% while the insurance companies overheard is about 30%. Who is more efficient?

  • The only pawns are old people in the special interest game.

The AARP is not looking out for the best interest of seniors.

The bill proposed would ultimately lead to government setting prices, which by default leads to shortages of supply.

    This mean rationed care.

  • You mean like what has happened with Medicare? How they set prices and all?

I'm trying to figure out how Medicare has led to rationing. Maybe you can help me out there - since you've got the whole thing figured out.

  • Hahaha - the insurance companies have not allowed bargaining on drug prices and are bilking the public. The same drugs from the same companies can be bought cheaper in Canada.

  • Wow! Great ad by AARP. Its time to get the facts straight since these pawns of the insurance industry at these town hall meetings keep spreading lies. They say their against government involvement with health care but I dont see anyone calling for the abolishment of Medicare - WHICH IS WHOLLY GOVERNMENT RUN. Second, whats with the hysteria about the public plan pushing insurance companies out of business? If the government cant run things well then they have nothing to fear.

  • `'

The AARP is ACORN for Old People.

The administration and officers are all Political Hacks.

CEO is Obama's friend and contributed big money to Obama

    '

  • You hit the nail on the head.

  • So basically when the AARP went on Fox just this week and said that they "WERE NOT" supporting any legislation at this time they were lying out their ass. That should send a HUGE red flag up in the air.

  • I laugh in the face of the idiots who think that the AARP is the government. Is that how it's going to work from now on? Any private group who neoconservatives disagree with will now be referred to as 'the government' even if they aren't?

  • @ Rvallek: Well yeah. I mean, anybody they don't agree with is an evil tyrannical socialist devil worshipping America-hatingCommie loving, cross-spitting, god hating Dixie Chick. Might as well throw government on top of that too. It's like witch-hunt 2.0

  • I love it...very good and accurate comercial

  • The point is...this commercial is FULL of CRAP!! The only one spreading rumors and blocking actual reform...is the current administration.

  • Sorry. The ones spreading rumors and blocking actual reform are the opponents of this administration. I love how the Right does this shit and then keeps claiming it is everyone else, not them, that does the shit they do. Not gonna fly.

  • "The ones spreading rumors and blocking actual reform are the opponents of this administration."

You know you can oppose this bill and still be for health reform as a concept, right?

  • People like you don't even know the definition of socialism. It's hard for people to be unhappy with a proposition that they can't get the truth about. This is the problem with fox news, it goes out of it's way to make sure it's viewers remain uneducated.

  • Merriam-Webster Definition- Socialism: Any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods (i.e. healthcare, education, etc.) You should read two things: 1. the Constitution wherein you'll find no provision for this sort of governmental involvement and 2. the proposition itself found on the Congress site (in light of your comment about not being able to get the truth about it)

  • And in the constitution there is no provision for Firefighters, roads, bridges, military, Veteran's health, FDC, EPA, etc, etc. By the way, in the proposal being talked about doctors, hospitals, etc will still be private unlike Britain where they are all govt run - and the Brits are really upset about the lies being told about their NHS. Stephen Hawking said he would not be alive if it were not for the NHS, and he is disgusted with the lies and slander.

  • Those cars aren't folks blocking "health care reform", they're ambulance-chasing f*****g lawyers trying to make a dishonest buck. Want to control health care costs? Tort Reform!

  • 'What country do you live in where the president has "full control of government"? '

    USA 2003

  • It's good to see AARP is running this ad they have street cred with a lot of seniors. They support not all but most of President Obama's health care plan including the parts about Medicare..Oh and By the way what party gave seniors medicare in the first place that's right your friendly neighborhood democrat . Hopefully this ad will run of Fox during Beck and Hannity.

  • This is a really good ad.

  • The point is that riding* an ambulance is kick ass fun! ... happy now? :P

  • Comment removed

  • The point is to listen to each other.

  • lol, the ratings on this video are high, but it seems that the only people that comment are idiots buying into the lies of the status quo.

  • Proving that there is a loud minority here. Most people agree with the ad.

  • How many "medical welfare leeches" do you suppose are now enjoying Medicare? Do you support abolishing that too?

  • If your talking about the Medicare leeches that want to smoke one more cigarette before they are loaded into the "bamalance".or want the "Bamalance " ride for $1000.00 ride to the hospital because they have a Cold. Then YES... These are facts ask any Paramedic 90% of medicare and"caid are B.S.

  • phasing it out yes.

  • But ... I thought the AARP didn't endorse this 'reform' that Obama is pitching.

How can people lie so openly? Obama lies that it's "the Republicans" blocking his idiotic plan when he has full control of government and can't even convince his own party. The AARP says they don't endorse it, then they do, and doesn't listen to its own members who DO NOT WANT THIS BILL.

Are those AARP members in those cars?

  • What country do you live in where the president has "full control of government"? His legislation has to be passed by congress, of which many members, democrats and republicans alike, are paid by insurance companies. It's not about whether individual people want the bill to pass, it's about the bill being objectively beneficial to the american people, despite what propaganda is spread.

  • Thats it! Throw all the senior citizens under the ambulance! This is disguisting!

  • I thought they weren't taking sides?????

    What a joke!

  • everyone and their grandma is taking sides on this issue. pardon the pun.

  • AARP has sold out on its members, which is why they are canceling membership in record numbers. AARP is not speaking out against the age-discriminating (illegal, by the way) "rationing" of health services for seniors that will come about because of the crisis caused by too many people joining the government plan when it puts their private insurance companies out of business) and when it runs out of money (just like Medicare is doing) because it's an inefficiently run government program.

  • The number I heard is that 60000 members left because of their stance. That is a whopping .15% of their membership.

  • I thought the AARP wasn't going to take sides in the healcare debate.

Well..since the only healthcare bills being considered..as the flawed ones currently being pushed by Democrats in congress..it lloks to me like the AARP IS taking sides..and ignoring the wishes of most seniors.

It looks like Congress and the AARP have something in common.

  • "and ignoring the wishes of most seniors."

    Care to back this up?

  • if you read the news, they lost over 60,000 members since Obama's misstatement that aarp supports it. Plus the fact that most of the Town hall meetings are filled with seniors.

  • Again, 60,000 represents .15% of their membership. A fraction of 1%. That hardly qualifies as most.

  • you know, maybe you dont get it, but to lose that many members in less than a month is devastating. You have any clue how many people will not renew? That is just people who were upset enough to send back member cards torn in half. Imagine the amount that will never do buss with them again.

  • "on average AARP loses some 300,000 members a month, but he couldn't say how many more members had quit for other reasons in that time period. He said AARP gained some 400,000 new members during the same period and

that 1.5 million members renewed their membership."

Math problem for you. If AARP loses 360,000 members and gains 400,000 members per month, how long will it take for them to lose 50% of their membership?

  • watch and see, watch and see.

  • Comment removed

  • I'll keep watching them continue not losing any appreciable membership over this issue. :)

  • "According the AARP critics of the government takeover of health care want nothing more than to crash into ambulances."

    That's yet another anti-healtcare lie.

Reality is in this ad the AARP points out the fact that the health insurance industry wants to block the non-profit government-run healthcare option.

  • I was just kidding dude. It's funny, because this ad portrays people that oppose the current plan as wanting to crash into ambulances. It's a funny joke.

Oh, and govt. run health care would be a disaster.

  • lol....According the AARP critics of the government takeover of health care want nothing more than to crash into ambulances.

This is not true, I don't want to crash into ambulances.

  • Are you for or against these things? Because I've had nothing but great experiences with at least half of them.

  • Awesome Ad!

Extremely well thought and to the Point.

Blast it all over the place!!!

  • Thank you!

Folks need to be reminded that millions have been paid out to pols by lobbyists in Drug & Insurance companies to obstruct healthcare changes.

They only care about the bottom line. We need to see through the obstructionists.

  • This is a good ad. Thank you for making it.

These special interest groups and insurance company lobbyists are LITERALLY killing me.... I need health care in a bad way.
