@FishingNinja1 We had maybe a 2 week window to ice fish, but within those 2 weeks there were only a few days where the ice was very safe. Now its in the 40s every day, and we've even had a few days reach 50.
Good too see people out on the ice, I have been out a couple times this year, but nothing to brag about. Where I live in Michigan, the weather has been inconsistent.
@Bigbassbuster73 Its been inconsistent here, which has been a pain. Just when you get enough ice it gets to 50 and rains. Terrible winter so far, hopefully february is much different.
@JohnnyFa Thanks, it sure took a long time. Looks like that will be the only time we get out within the next few weeks because of warm temps and rain, but who knows.
@iDoWutiWant1 Yeah it got in the 40s with thunder showers and very strong winds, but its supposed to get cold tonight. We live between 20 and 30 minutes south of Grand Rapids.
@MichiganFishn oh im from Troy if you know it...its right by detroit but what lake are you on? my friend has a place up by Grand Rapids its on Townline Lake if you know it
@ontariooutdoorsman yeah it sucks. we caught those fish the 21st and 22nd of January and now its January 23rd and we had thunderstorms and rain all day today, melting all of the snow and a good chunk of our ice.

I live by Lake St Clair and it has been too warm. There's no ice. It's been in the 40's everyday.
