This is the best game ever created. Period. I can't understand why Konami never came back to this franchise (although that might actually be a good thing, considering some of the sequels and remakes that are made).

I usually begin by getting the First World's key, then the Arrow, the Halo, some small keys, and head straight for Yomar :D

nostalgia.. probably the first game i ever played with age 4... we never made it to stage 2 or anywhere at all lol.

took me half of my life to find this game again. I only had thin memories of the game graphics and cover... and i had no idea that computer we had was an msx. my dad throw it away after it was broke including all the cartridges.... can you believe that?????? i actually never got over it. i'm still trying to get an old msx comptuer, if anyone sells. msg me.

You need to type his name "HAMALECH". Don't forget to get the holy cross to beat him...

Truly one of the best games I ever played. I still put that cardridge in my msx sometimes. I'm planning on doing an ode to maze of gallious in Little Big Planet. Got world2 boss done allready :). Thanks for posting this nostalgic vid, versus all those remake vids!

too true no maps no modern guides just endless hours scratching my head, one day i was in one of the red/orange coloured rock rooms with the little bubbles flying around and all of a sudden they converged in the center of the room i was so excited thinking the cross was about to appear i was shaking bloody things just turned into a fairy and gave me my health back!!!

At first I didn't know you needed the cross. We just placed mines one platform under him and jumped on them. I'm starting to realize that it may have been a bug, but it did the job :)

bug for sure on the original cartridge the only way to kill him was with the cross.

Truly 1 of my top 10 games ever.

I´ve spent so much time finishing this game it almost literally took months of my life.

Only MSX game that´s better is Penguin Adventure, also by Konami btw.

Well that and MSX exclusive Gradius 2 and it´s superior Salamander version.

The first item you ever got was the halo, but you never used it. Press F1 and then hit enter. Then you'll always go back to the same screen in the castle, four screens above where the game starts off.
