  • great video, did u notice that the pantograph was lowering at rear end and raising on front end in points 2:06. Pretty cool.

  • that looks like an acela engine. but its not an acela train.

  • It's an HHP-8 (High Horse Power), Acela Regional instead of the Acela express that you're talking about. The HHP-8 still does about 125mph it just stops at more stations then the Acela express service.

  • man watch ur mouth and how u no this stuff

  • I always get a Toaster

  • I saw silver star with an hhp8 near newark on a rainy day

  • one thing I don't get in most the videos with trains theres always a clicking or grinding sound heard.

  • are you talking about the bell?

  • oh ok. i like the aem-7's but i'd like to see more of the hhp's at least now i now why i dont.

  • i hardly ever get a train pulled by an hhp-8, mainly its a toaster in the lead

  • yea same here, ive only been pulled by a bananna 2 times

  • i wonder why that is? did they have problems with the hhp's also?

  • I actually talked to an engineer today, here's the deal, the only time u will c an HHP8 up north is when it is raining, they store them in Washington, so either when its raining or snowing, they will use them for some reason.

  • that doesnt make sense at all

  • here's the bottom line, they dont want to keep the HHP8's down south when its raining or snowing, so they send them up north.

  • Also they would use them on the weekends
