It's an HHP-8 (High Horse Power), Acela Regional instead of the Acela express that you're talking about. The HHP-8 still does about 125mph it just stops at more stations then the Acela express service.

I actually talked to an engineer today, here's the deal, the only time u will c an HHP8 up north is when it is raining, they store them in Washington, so either when its raining or snowing, they will use them for some reason.

here's the bottom line, they dont want to keep the HHP8's down south when its raining or snowing, so they send them up north.
