  • hello i am on my first rc plane (super cub lp) and can u plz recommend a really good plane thank you

  • Hey there. The plane also flies excellent with a 550mah too.

  • Anyone please respond?

  • good info, as always thanks !!

  • Hey night flyer, well i just got my t-28 and love it, the guy at the shop said the rtf controler was just as good however he didnt know if i would harm anything by useing those 500mah, 3.7 bateries. Did you have to change anything eles??

  • Also.. I seem to have found a charging adapter that seems to make the switch even easier, do you think this may cause any other problems? Thanks again for some great ideas

    Marc

  • Do I have to change anything else to use the 500 mil batteries? (electronics)

  • Would you suggest this for a first time airplane pilot? I fly helicopters usually but am looking for a trainer that when I get more comfortable can just start doing 3d with it.

  • @mrpuddlemrpuddle most of the time they say start big. I started with this and I'm glad I did. If you can fly this then you can fly the bigger airplanes. It is pretty much crash resistent. I have crashed it into the ground from 100ft into concreat and only broke a little foam. I think it is great for beginners.

  • @ExplosivetipStudios Always nice to hear from someone who's done it. Thanks :)

  • cool little bird

  • great music, i love bond name these sogns please

  • great music, i love bond

  • Always love your video's Dave xD! Would you recommend this plane for a beginner (with a little simulation practice)? I live in hawaii/oahu and I'm looking for a simple easy to fly plane that doesn't need a long runway and landing area to fly it. I'm limited to public parks here that don't really have much flat runway/landing surfaces, just mainly grassy areas at most.

  • Great video! Thanks for sharing. :)

  • I don't get 2 minutes flight time out of either of my original sized PZ batts. After landing, the engine will run again for another minute or 2 if I don't run it hard, but that's it. How do you charge the larger batt? thx

  • I bought one of these batteries today and put it in my micro T-28 and while it does give me 30 min of flight time, the responsiveness of the plane is a lot slower. The added weight really slows it down, but it isn't so bad that it won't fly. Again, not bad and is actually great for a newer pilot as it makes the plane more docile. I had to carve out a bit towards the back of the plane to slide the batter back about a half inch as it was nose heavy after putting the 500 mAh batter in.

  • i really want to see a tutorial on how to put that conector on the battery. please respond.

  • I've heard that this ultra micro Trojan is pretty easy to fly and mild in comparison with the ultra micro Mustang.

  • did you use velcro to keep the bigger batt in place?

  • as always, great video!

Maybe to help eliminate some of the receiver's red light bleed through, you could paint the inside of the fuselage with a black paint of sorts?

  • AWSOME video, I am new to flying, currently learning on the hobbyzone champ. and I think thanks to your video this may be my next plane.

  • Hey, i'm thinking of buying my first 4ch. RC airplane. Anyway, for the flight performance (and how long it lasts) get um t-28, or the um p-51? -thanks!

  • which is better the micro or its big brother

    thanx please reply

  • Another great adventure from the NightFlyyer! I was out of the hobby for about 30 years and got a bug and purchased a Blade SR. Since then I've added an MSR & B 400. Still working on CP flying, but I get the SR up and down without needing a basket after flight! Recently I saw Night Vapor and fell in love! Never did any night flying before and it's really a gas! Last weekend I purchased the micro T-28 and love it. It's going to bet my 1st "lights" project. Love your vids Dave! UR a great guy!

  • Great flight time of 31 minutes but the little brushed motor will not like running for that long for each flight. More so for warmer climates.

  • I was watching one of my YouTube friend's videos on growing marijuana and after it finished it recommended this video to me.

  • this plane sucks!! i got it and it broke in 2 days. i threw it away what a waste of 120 dollars. do not buy it!!!

  • @starcraftluver62 You are very kind... are you always talking like this? or only when you are hiding behind your moms pc?

Its because you dont know how to fly a airplane stupidass

  • @starcraftluver62 Shouldn't have thrown it away, the electronics can be used for any number of DIY projects using construction foam like Depron. If you broke it in two days then you needed a trainer to start off with like the HobbyZone Cub.

  • @starcraftluver62 actually this is the best micro plane i have ever flown. it actually flys better than most planes out there. LoL. but then again i do know how to fly, and i also know not to throw working electronics away after a crash. 4 words. Get You A Sim!

  • ok. So I bought this plane and the rudder was locked in place and did not move. Returned it for another and took it out today to fly. The motor shut off mid flight multiple times. Thought it might be the battery so I put in the more powerful one I bought. SAME outcome. continued to stall out in the middle of the air and I had to continue to land with no speed at all. My question to you is what could have caused this? It is very cold today but if that was the problem why would the servo's move?

  • Ok ive got a question. I have the HobbyZone Champ. I got it as the rtf model, which it obviously comes with a 2.4ghz transmitter. Could i get the BNF version of this micro t-28 and bind it to my champ transmitter?

  • whats the flight time on a regular trojan?

  • WOW!! 31 mniutes?!!! Amazing!! Do you have some tips to increase the flight time on the larger T-28?? I have all the PZ micros, and this was a great tip!! So that's where the machine guns go... well, the cowl on the larger one is a separate piece, so that could cause a problem..Any suggestions besides tape? I'm thinking of mounting those with pins to the outside of the cowl. I just picked up the large warbird lights from tinybritelights. You have great vids. keep going!!

  • so using a 500mah battery wont hurt the electronics in the plane? or is there something else id have to do besides mod the battery plug?

  • Where can you get the 500 mah lipo battery from dave?

  • Im about to buy my first micro and there are so many cool planes but wich one! Im thinking about the sukoi su-27, micro p-51,e flite 4 site, or this one. which is the best? Im ok at 3D but not great . . . . the trojan has good looks along with the micro spitfire . . .any help

  • Comment removed

  • can you give me some advice i'm going to buy this plane this DEcember and this is my 2nd plane b4 i have su-27 4channel..and after 6 sec i've crash it...and the now i'm working on simulator and i'm doing great on the orientation of the aircraft...having a great time in simulator do you recommend this thing to me

  • Hi Nightflyyer I just bought a micro T28 today and I also picked up the Eflite 500 battery. I found out that they also sell a little adaptor that plugs into the original battery plug in the plane so I do not have to solder an additional plug in the plane. I can't wait to fly the plane but it's raining here on the west coast. I have the large T28 I fly all the time so the little one should be fun too.

  • is it slow and small enough to fly in an average backyard?

  • its hard tryin to tell them apart from each other

  • What do you use to keep the t-28 top on after you have taken it off?

  • would u recommend this plane for a 2channel excellent flyer?

  • do you think this is better than the UM P-51?

  • Hey Dave, great flying. I have to get this planeXD. Im a proud owner of the Parkzone corsair, and it flies wery well. is this type of "mini" planes harder to fly than the larger Corsair, Trojan, Etc. ?

    Thanks for sharing.

    David (Bluescan92)

    Norway

  • were did u buy the leds

  • Thanks for the tips on those 500mAH Lipo's Dave, I run those in all my micro's now, thumbs up.

  • Hey Dave - Awesome. A great "review" and I really enjoyed the night flight! I have a beaten up fullsize I picked up used and so maybe I need the little one now! :)

  • What a great little plane, Dave. I have just bought one & can't wait to maiden her.

  • Hey Dave I just got this and want to set up the lights and wondered what you used to punch the holes in the wings? They are so thin I am afraid I might crack it..lol

Love all your videos by the way!

  • well love the lights and others hopping to get 1 of these but just spet around 150 in a heli and if i fail to like the heli well..... i think ill get the bnf with a brand new radio and 500 mH-a bat cant believe you got 30 mins thats amazing and i wont have lights

  • can i use the transmitter that came with my blade mcx and just get the bind-n-fly version of this plane or do i have to get the rtf version?

  • @traxxasrc97 Heli radios typically are not set up to fly airplanes due to mixing. I think you need the rtf version. Then, that radio would be able to be used with other similar planes in their line, if you were to get BNF models afterwards.

  • @NightFlyyer Alright thanks Dave!

  • I have soldered the plugs from a couple of msr batteries onto the 500 mah ones, this should be ok i think?

  • it does make charging them fiddly but I have so many of the smaller batterys and also a paralel adaptor so I can plug in 2 of the tiny lipos

  • @chiosex Good idea. Luckily, my AC6 charger allows easy charging of any size mAh single cell batteries. Parallel is another way too. Good. Thanks.

  • @chiosex No problem.

  • i wish i could afford one of those T_T

  • jeff seemed 2 have a slightly shaky takeoff good pilot though

  • reallyyyyyyyyyy cool!!!!! the microplanes are really good.

  • @nudel220 Thanks for the cool comment.

  • will you get the parkzone F4f wildcat? (if you do, I would like to see that thing with machine gun lights on it!)

  • @f14fan1243 Haha. Howd you guess?

  • Hi Dave, Awsome flights as usual, I have also installed the TinyBrite lights (navigation set ) to my PZ micro P51, the red nav packed up after a short while so I emailed TB lights asking for spares and they sent me a new set to the UK free of charge. outstanding company... :) . Flying at dusk brings on a whole new experience and its all thanks to you , I have added Lights to all my Models including , Heli's, planes and Nitro car. Cheers Buddy

  • @mgenstraycat WOW, great news. What email address did you use?

  • wow dave how ironic! its my birthday tomorrow and i was thinking of getting that plane but saw little reviews! all of a sudden u came out with this video! thank you dave!

  • @happyturtle18 Happy birthday happyturtle18. I hope you get this plane and have fun with it.

  • wow amazing u could make so much money off of your add ons.

  • Dave Thanks

great video explanation on how to install the tinybrite's. which is your favorite plane between the T-28 and the Mustang ?

  • Hey Dave, have you had any problems with the micro servos bickering too much? i noticed that i will see them sometimes twitch with no input.

  • @BOBKB3NZX No problems. In the early days servos were actually designed to jitter at center, to guarantee they would move when you gave input. The wipers on these linear servos are very sensitive, so just the slightest vibration or pressure on a surface will have them chatter. Not to worry.

  • @NightFlyyer Good to hear, Thanks Dave!

  • nice video dave how i like it..:)

  • that really is a nice micro

  • trojan man!

  • I tell you what dave herbert you make me laugh you make me smile you have even made me nearlly cry with some of your vids BUT...Mostly the feeling you make me feel is frustration because gee wizz do you make rc flying look easy and your fighter pilot mate Jeff (who i am also big fan of)is just as bad could you just crash 1 or 2 more times just to make me think your human..LOL awesome work Again..O and a big P.S im a novice who got a expert plane and crashed...

  • Thanks very kindly for your comments and good luck with your flying. Nothing beats years of practice, so don't give up. See my F4 pilot error video to see my latest disaster and you will see I am vulnerable as always. Thanks again.~NightFlyyer~

  • @gurandsuv Yes, slightly. You cant really feel it in a small model, however.

  • Pleasee dave! fly your vintage Ducted fan jet! i would love to see that!

  • @0TOM007 See my video list on my home page and you will see the video on my P-80 Shooting Star fly from over 25 years ago. Enjoy it.

  • nice video = )

can you please do a video of how to snap roll, I'd really like to learn some acrobatics like snap rolls and flat spins.

    Thank you :-D

  • @pilotdynan I may just do that. Thanks.

  • @NightFlyyer

thank you very much = )

I'm already waiting for the show :-)

I'd like to thank you for opening my eyes to RC, now 2 years after i first saw your show I'm trying to fly rc planes every day and I'm almost don with my pilot sertefication :)

thank you for showing me the joy of airplanes

  • those stunts are dangerous when real pilot.... but still rc planes are really awesome one of the amazing stunts

  • great video, thanks!

  • Wow, the lights look great!

  • how about the blade120 sr?

  • @thatonebeone I just did one a few videos back on the Blade 120 when Eric sent his around in his video called Blades across America. My video is called the Blade 120, My turn to see me fly it.

  • very sweet, should get more or less the same from my Sukhois

  • Cheers Nightflyyer, another great video :) Always look forward to watching them from you and your mate Jeff. Take care and happy flyying.

  • Fab video Dave, have the big trojan and love her,not getting the lil t28, I have the lil P51,Sukhoi & Xp,the P51 is a night flyer, learned to fly with it & is rough(fine at night). Its past it,taking the tbl of it and putting on old Sukhoi nice mg lights on cowl. I have bought 2 of the 500 mAh bats after watching your first experiment soldering tomorrow! Inspiring vids as always,20+ minutes flight time, I cant wait, I already fly them in windy conditions, the extra weight should help alot. ~S~

  • Those lights really look great from any angle, very cool video!!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Very nice. I will have to buy one.

  • Awesome Video! WOW! I hope Parkzone is paying you something, cause I am now thinking about going out and buying one of these! Really! BTW, where are you from? I use to live in North Dakota and your landscape looks familar! Jay

  • @jaygdav I am not paid in anyway or affiliated with parkzone but i can tell you I love every parkzone plane I have, they are not perfect (nothing is) and they are not really that cheap but every one has flown right out the box, no problems. Thumbs up from me! You can see me crashing my micro sukhoi and p51 and other models in my vids, pilot error, lol. no crashes (touch wood) with my pz trojan (big one) or my only nitro plane. I started a year ago.

  • @jaygdav Thanks. I am not getting paid from Parkzone and payed full retail for this plane. I am in NW Iowa, not too far away from you. Pretty soon, all white landscape. LOL

  • trojan

  • nice review, love that little airplane and the tiny lights.

  • Sieg Heil!

  • wow mr. herbert, that was one amazing video! i really have to say that was great, awesome flying and amazing vid!

  • Great video! Liked the riders on the storm background music too.

I was thinking the machine gun lights could be used as exhaust stack lights (flame really) for night flying.

Man 30 minutes without flying brakes would probably make me go cross eyed. Thank you lipo technology :)

  • @Ispintechno1 Thanks kindly. That would look cool as exhaust lights in red or orange, eh?

  • Yes i like this one it looks great in the air sweet {"_*)

  • Cool project, love our full size T28.

    Those fly great together!

  • Hi Dave

Nice spot as usual, have been enjoying your flights (especially the mailbox jet one ) just kidding will be picking up my BNF Mini T 28 and the F4F today as well, have a look at my Aerobird 3 wing repair\reinforcement Vid after my learning experiance with the folding wing lol, something you do once, the repair has been stellar and have been wringing it out hard to see if it will fail and it will take anything now, it was a cheap repair (less than 3 $) and a bit of time. nice video

  • 11 mins seems long enough to me...my belief is the motors last longer when they are not pushed to hard and don't get as hot...i may be wrong though

  • @3255959 I did not increase voltage which would make the motor run hotter. All I did was increase the size of the "tank" from 120 to 500. These motors are air cooled and I do not expect any failure.

  • 31 MINUTES! WOW!!

  • Really nice plane and video Dave!! You truly are aMaster!!!

  • @gurandsuv not really, it doesn't have enough surface area to do much in the air.

  • nice, I learned from this vid about lights on a plane. I never really thought about them, I never thought about flying at night either! But oh yea I want to go for it!

  • Excellent! We're not all that far off of having snow on the ground. Maybe some tiny white floats to go on your T-28 might be a grand idea. :-)

  • @Winston51249 Haha, Working on them now...Thanks.

  • Cool vid Dave! Flying more than 30 minutes with one battery is astonishing, but what about the engine, is there any danger of overheating? By the way, how does the repairs with the F4 going?

  • Respond to this video...Thanks kindly. I did not increase voltage which would make the motor run hotter. All I did was increase the size of the "tank" from 120 to 500. These are quality motors are air cooled so I do not expect any failure. Repairs on the F4 are extensive with structural damage that is going to take some fixin. Thanks.

  • I was wondering have you every crashed any planes, and how are you able to know what your flying range is? Thanks for the great video.

  • @skiddy8619 In 50 years, many. (See my RF 4 crash recently) All were lessons well learned, as that is the only way to get good. I am using 2.4Ghz Spektrum radios and this tiny plane would disappear from sight long before it will run out of range. And if you cant see it, you cant fly it anyway! lol. Thanks for your comments.

  • Great video, Dave. I just got thru ordering mine (Battery too) from HH. Now I will have a plane to fly indoors with you in the gym. Thanks for making the video. Navy RULES!

  • @BryansFlyin Yea! Great. You will love it. Bring it on, Sir. Semper Fi.

  • ooo flies nice. Ill be looking at it

  • ain't ya afraid to hit the wires all around ya

  • @bobmaxiao he's to good for that :p

  • @pieman12345678987654 seems to be. he's pro enough, but still concern...

  • @bobmaxiao AMA safety code restricts you to not flybehind you or over spectators. So we keep the wires behind us most of the time. Otherwise with years of practice, you wont hit anything....except a mailbox now and then. LOL.

  • what kinds of cameras are you using dave?

  • @beastly239 They are both Canon HD 780 Elphs.

  • @NightFlyyer ok thanks! do you use those for the pictures too?

  • @beastly239 yes.

  • That plane is fantastic!

  • can we try putting a 12 cell on the micro plane ... that would be awsome if the motors didnt burn out. by the way ur mods was great !

  • Sweet setup and thanks for showing us the innards of the plane :)

  • @RoboTekno Thanks kindly.

  • Wouldn't it be awesome if these little T-28's came with retracts.

  • @mgrande11 This one does, actually. Snap on snap off. Of course you have to land first to retract them. LOL.

  • I find that I enjoy flying the Micro flyers more.

  • Hi Dave and Jeff. That was fun. Great Night Flying too. Thank you.

  • @catfishmudflap Thank you and for your comments too.

  • nice song in background

  • The longest tiny electric flight i`ve ever seen

Cool Plane Mr. Herbert, 2 thumbs up, makes me wanna buy one :D

  • @Arsya9612 Thanks. Go for it.

  • you need a way to turn the gun lights off and on in the air

  • @littledreamer1969 They turn on and off with the 5th channel switch on the TX.

  • 30 minutes? thats pretty impressive!

  • Sweet video keep up the great work. Thumbs up Dave

  • very good video as always nightflyyer

very interesting setup in that plane

  • Nice Video Dave :)
