  • He's australian

  • r u British or Australian

  • @balangas where do you live where I live it's 5-8 dollars

  • An A3 cutting mat here where I live goes for about $100 local money, over there you can get it for 4 buck. That's just wrong =/

  • thanks for makeing this video very helpful thanks

  • Love the videos. Great job on helping out the wargaming community.

  • Are u in Victoria??

  • @nathanhuynhy - sure are - 388 High Street, Northcote ;p

  • to use corrugated cardboard instead of formcore. Take two of the sheets and glue them together back to back with the corrugating run at right angles to each other cress cross . This makes the cardboard much stronger and stops it wrapping while the paint dry's.

    Have a good one !

  • "I'm really looking forward to catching up with agem.... Him again"

  • what was the white stuff you where using???

  • @TheNid0madness its foam genius

  • @TheNid0madness - its called Foamcore or Foamboard in some places

  • @RubbishInRubbishOut Where do you get Foamboards?

  • nice job O.O i would really play on that ground!

  • how much is foam core

  • @123cade1 bout $15 AusD for 1mx1m foam (where i live)

  • pause at 4:13 and guess why he covers his blades

  • any1 played cod4? i made a board lhat is all corridoors and has a small open area with homemade bunker (has a cover save) it is loosly based on the indoor map on cod4

  • you no how you said u culd get foam core at craft stores. would you get it at like like craft riot, well do u have craft riot over east?im in perth btw

  • late reply, but .... Riot sell foamcore .. in both black and white, but only in 5mm ... last time I had a look they didnt have 2 or 3mm boards - they also dont stock the larger A1 sheets. If you have Dean's Art ... go check them out, they are cheaper then Riot and stock a full range.

  • @RubbishInRubbishOut hey i am in n.s.w Wollongong i don't know but maybe you mite know where i can get foamcore

  • @44cade1 - I would start by checking the local art stores... not sure what is around Wollongong but there would have to be something.

  • @RubbishInRubbishOut yer ill keep looking haha thanks

  • @RubbishInRubbishOut hey man i found some in some small art store hahah thanks for these tutorials

  • man you talk really fast

i know why, it's just that you talk really fast.

  • Heheh, yeah I know mate. I'm trying to slow it down! Thanks for commenting.

  • lol the regret shop.awesome video

  • viv? my m8 just said that fomecore is only in america. Can you tell me if thats right please.

    thanks

    nightbringer5

  • No mate, you can get it from any craft store .. try Deans Art or Riot. Where abouts are you, send me a PM and I'll send you a list of places to check. Don't know why he said America only ... strange!

  • lol get it in uk too so would think you can get it any where

  • go to hobby lobby, i got 48 sandbags for $4

  • i have the exact same green mat except mines like massive rofl

  • umm is formecore paper forme paper yea because umm i told the ppl at spotligh and they dident have formecore they had paper forme paper. lol

  • It kind of sounds the same. Foamcore is essentially a thin piece of foam covered on both sides by thin sheets of paper. Given that, I assume it is the same.

  • Thanks for the tips m8

  • This series of tutorials is excellent. Thankyou for making and posting these.

  • Will! Thanks for commenting on my vid ... its an honour! I LOVE your channel, you have some mad skills. Thanks again

  • Another way to cut that foam core is with a special cutter they sell (like 5 bucks) or make ur first cut then fold the sheet and cut from the other side....it helps from that jagged look as well...... thats the way they cut dry wall as well...... and this isnt meant for u vic but all u out there trying to learn

  • i live in Melbourne too im glad that some ppl that have terrain vids are from Melbourne

    good job

  • Melbourne for the win!

  • hells yes

  • Nice Job Bro!!! I need to get some sharp razors mine are pretty old and dull LOVE the metal rulers I gota get some:)!

  • US$150!! Wow, must be super professional mat. these ones are cheap but they work well. I have another mat that was more expensive, the skin on that seems to 'heal' better then the cheaper one.

  • Cutting mats for $4??? WOW!! I've seen boards that size at craft stores here in the US for $150 USD. There's no way that they are the same thing but I can't tell a difference from the video.

  • are you an new ziland sorry about the spelling erros

  • Nah ... I think many Aussies consider New Zealand an unofficial state of Australia though :-) My background is Indian - sub continent variety, not american indian ;-) Im based in Melbourne.

  • love your vids viv!!!

  • DUDE! this is perfect for me right now! I just picked up a literal TON of foamcore! My neighbor owns a craft store and he gave me more foamcore than I know what to do with. He is kindly letting me keep half of it at the store (which is about an entire pallet of it) but anyway, I am going to use it to make city stuff and you go make a video on this stuff! you are the man!

  • hahaha, classic. cosmic vibes my man, cosmic vibes ... now, where is my good friend with a pallet of foamcore, hrmm. Lucky bastard! ;-)

  • HAHA yeah. The irony of the whole thing is that I can't purchase any of the good pink or blue foam. It's actually illegal to build with in California. Total bullshit.

  • WHAAA! Illegal in California .. what tha! How very, very bizzare. I cant imagine why it would be illegal ... illegal! thats madness

  • yeah I know, rediculous. I think it has something to do with the fire safety rating. the stuff melts nasty I think, I dont know, never played with it yet.

  • foam core is very easy to find because theyre also used for school project so many places caring them

  • Here in the states,Foam-Core is very easy to find...Wal*mart and most pharmacy's carry it for use on kids school projects...

Just curious....did you build the actual Table I saw In the Batrep?

    Great series!

    Thanks for the pointers!

  • yeah I built that table - i built 3 at the same time and painted them about 5 hours. pretty easy to do, I have to make more so if you want a tutorial let me know. Cheers

  • Yes please:)

  • Okay, no probs. I have to go out of state for business. Will be back in about 4 days, will film it and put up before next weekend. Though all my measurements will be in milllimetres ;) hehe

  • great video man, nice work

  • FANTASTIC!!!! as always this was enjoyable to watch. Im thinking about making myself a table. As i have never played 40k before, and with my black templar army now finished, this would be a great time for me to learn how to play the game. Is acity board good for beginners to learn on or should i make a simpler table? Thanks RiRo

  • 40k uses less scenery then City Fight does. City Fight is a subset of 40k (you need a different book too) and it is played on a much more tightly packed board - scenery wise. 40k is a bit more open.

  • This is a great tutorial. It's nice to see how to speed through inexpensive, but nice looking terrain.

  • Comment removed

  • very usefull, thanks for uploading

  • no problems, its my pleasure ... really, as I mentioned in a previous vid, its kind of like therapy for me :D

  • very nice how to vid

  • thanks man, more parts uploading right now!

  • nice vid, foamboard isnt actually too expensive either.

  • it is the best stuff to use! cheap and can do SO many things! cheers

  • Nice, ty for this!

  • no problems! thanks for watching ... 3 other parts are uploading now. the whole series should be up by the end of the night. not waiting on this one like the tudor series :) need to get it done!

  • Excellent, I always enjoyed your tutorials. I'm glad you are back in action. It seems like the other big guys have stopped doing these types of things. But I enjoy them tons. Once again thanks for taking the time to show people how to do this and get motivated into making there games better.

  • thanks man, i really appreciate that!
