The whammy isn't polyphonic, so you can only play single notes, the POG tracks more than one note.

no, it doesn't use batteries, you're forced to use is exclusively with an ac adapter unfortunately

No it pulls to much juice to run on batteries. It'd drain them in like an hour. The power supply it comes with is rated for like 2-3 watts.

i have this pedal and no it doesnt take batteries (even if you unscrew the bottom), but adapter is included with the micro pog so you dont have to go out and buy it.

we have a few of these at work, and i was sold on it the day it came out of the box...lot less complicated than the pog and i like it much more than the hog for its simplicity alone...definitely on my xmas list :D
