But I couldn't buy much cause I would have to fly it back on the already full luggage, think I got Doom for SNES, but I passed up a ton of good Dreamcast games cause I thought they would crush on the plane

there were dreamcasts sold that had a fault in it, it wouldnt load games all the time, or at all. i had one and sonic adventure, at first it loaded great, then for no reason, started to act up and wouldnt load the game. i got rid of it eventually, i wish that it workd, cause i liked it.

Don't go to play n trade. I use a bottle of meguiar's plastx and a micro fiber rag. All i do is put some plastx on the disc, rub it into the disc with the rag, then let set for 5 minutes then wipe clean. Its works about 70% of the time.

Lol, you saved on that DC. A similar story for me: I got mine in this bag for about 3-4 dollars (Can't remember exactly what). It works perfectly, and I got 2 extra controllers outta the mix. :D

I also have burnt a few games to disc and played them on the system. It's real great to have a system, as simple as the DC, to be able to play copies with ease.

The Dreamcast didn't see a release in America until 1999, so it was highly unlikely that you played one in '95. The DC is my favorite console of all time, right behind the PS2. you must play Soul Calibur, Crazy Taxi, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Jet Grind Radio, and Power Stone.

Just flea markets as big events, but all you can buy there is crap copies of expensive brand clothing and clocks imported from china that stop to work a month after buying.

My girlfriend wanted earthbound for snes, our local flea market wanted 300 dollars for one single game. I love the feeling and the look of the original boxes and controllers but i can download every single game for every system pre 2000 and it is legal dispite what many people believe. It is rediculous when people are trying to sell these systems and games for a foutune. With time and retiring the old glass tv. playing roms and emulators in widescreen hd , with a ps3 controller hits home for me

The thing that was outterly amazing was that with the model i have, pre 2000's. you can burn a iso rom on a cdr and it will play with absolulty no mod. I had a fat stack of dreamcast games that would have costed me over a thousand dollars. Im all for classic video games but here in toronto canada, people know what they are worth. post continued*

the plug that you are missing can be easily replaced. Take a piece of modeling clay & gently press it into the socket just enough to get a shape. take it with you to a place like radio shack & tell them what you need & show them the shape of the plug. More often than not they can help you find something that will work. :) the wire on the controller can be tucked into that little grove under the memory card slot to get it out of your way. Your going to love the DC when you get it working.

Yeah I did, that's why I love em. I mean you gotta look around but you'll eventually find something for a great price. I remember when I was way younger as a kid my old neighborhood neighbors had like 3 stacks of comics and near the end of the garage sale they were like $1 and its all yours. the reason it looks like the 360 contoller is because the president of sega was let go and he ended up working for microsoft and he based the cotroller off of the dreamcast's. the only diffrence is two wctra trigger buttons, an extra joystick and the face button colors are the same A,B,X,Y and the colors are even the same only switched around. so thats why t lokkes the same.
