  • I think this guy is bipolar. First this, and then find the video of him on Hardball discussing ObamaCare. He first calls it catastrophic, and then he says it's right for the country.

  • I understand the Constitution. It allows the people to vote their champion into office so that he or she may do our bidding. The same as the union leaders have taken the rights away from the rank and file and not allowing us to vote on our representation, so will the politicians from this state and country do the same, if they can figure out how. The laws in California have to change to suit the average people. We need to re-boot California. Brown has had his chance.

  • He's being honest. He could have used some BS line like, "unfortunately, negative ads seem to be a part of the political landscape, blah blah blah". But, he just said "no", as if he was going to say "are you nuts, of course I am."

When he made his offer to stop attack ads in Long Beach he was being honest there too. The guy is old, but sharp. He knew he could make positive ads based on his record. Whitman has no record, or a really flimsy one outside of her business success.

  • This is to AG Jerry Brown:

Your radio ad states that you want to bring the power back to the local government, bring it back closer to the people. What a political thing to say. We are not so easily fooled by your feel good escape phrases. The power already belongs to the people. It's not yours to hand out. The power that you have to negotiate on my behalf comes from the people. You are the appitamy of why this country is in as bad of shape as it is in. Out with the old in with the new.

  • @wfhsteven1 You don't understand the CA laws. They are very much centered on the State. Most cities are general law cities, lacking a charter (not that charters are necessarily good). I can't tell you what he's thinking - but the State really needs to push transparency onto the city governments. (Transparency in business is verboten, BTW.)

  • This is personally to AG Jerry Brown:

"You don't need to outspend Whitman to beat her. You merely need a good street team, grassroots activists that know your platform/views & history, to represent you face to face in those important districts. Word travels fast. If enough people get the facts, they can make an informed decision. Obama used it, and it worked great. Gore was against it, and well....he lost! Don't end up like Al Gore."

  • wtf, are you taking about Jerry?

  • @rawrawrawify You need to listen more carefully.

  • If anyone knows what corporations have done to this country, DO NOT vote for MEG WHITMAN. She ruined ebay by jacking up prices for sellers in order to look good for WALL STREET. She SOLD OUT Ebay in the name of PROFITS for the corporate shareholders that operate at WALL STREET. If anyone knows corporations buy congressional/senate seats by pumping money into campaigns. Meg is no different by trying to buy the govenors seat in california. We the people of Cali are not a corporation. NO VOTE MEG W
