Why is Mario Galaxy so fucking hard? You can play Mario 64 in one day with all 120 starts, but this game is really more than 10 times harder!

@yoshimasterleader No, its not. The game is at an age of 6! Even as a longyear Mario player the game is too hard. I have 91 stars on Galaxy 1 and 95 at Galaxy 2. The other stars are fucking annoying. When the next Mario games are like Galaxy then I will not play them. Where is the fun? Mario is a fun game and not a RPG. If the game were a RPG then the hard missions are OK. Back to the roots.

@spellititti sou seriously having trouble with galaxy when did you get it. Games have actually gotten easier over the years. there are ps1 and n64 games i have yet to finish though part of the reason is i haven't gotten the chance to rent or buy them but none the less kids need challenge to get the mind thinking. the hardest mario game for me is Super Mario Brothers. i have yet to beat it

OMG This game is AWESOME!!

The graphics are amazing, you could see Bowser's scales, and the pre-boss scene, the actual battle and the ending cutsscene are just plain EPIC. You know, Bowser's always been portrayed as a comic relief villain, but this game makes him look like an incredibly badass and evil monster.

just beat bowser and i was disapointed, the level was hard as usual, but when i fought him i didnt die once.

the other times i had died lots, but here i didnt die once, the first 2 planets were easy, and the third one, was like the other ones, hard, but it only was 2 hits there, and i finished him easily, second bowser fight was waaay harder

I looked back with this video and realized: no Mario final boss has ever worked quite the same way in quite the same place. Whether it was a one-timer like Count Bleck or that weird alien from that Mario game with Daisy or the regular Bowser, no final showdown has had quite the same feel, function, or setting.

That must be why I love Nintendo so much. Nothing to get bored with.

Throwing bowser into spikes is NOT the original way Nintendo had you beat bowser (it is ONLY from the N64 version of super mario).

Here is how you beat bowser in the different systems:

NES: hit a button that removed the bridge dropping him into lava

SNES: he flys around and you throw enemies on his head

N64: throw him into spikes

Gamecube: Break off the edges and break bowsers "pool"

Wii: see video above^^

As you can see, throwing him into spikes is not the "original way"

haha ya know, when my sister was playing this game, she always insisted on finishing every single galaxy in a dome before going to bowser. by the time she beat the 2nd bowser battle, she had 63 stars. then rosalina was all like, "WE HAVE ENOUGH POWER STARS TO GET TO YOUR SPECIAL ONE!" so my sister doesn't need all the grand stars to get to bowser...

I actually got that Daredevil star. Was kind of a challenge, but I eventually beat it. The last start I was having trouble with was the Luigi's Purple Coins.

I haven't found the 3rd Green star, so no Trial Galaxies for me yet.
