Actually, the robot is not that hard to beat, plus he is skippable. The real fun starts in the Champion Cup, as the second opponent there is already much better than Ace 8000. I'm stuck on the 8th.

@Bouncest2 Do more backspin! A nice quick downward chop. As the opponent's returns start landing shorter, closer to the net, get up there and smash it.

@wg1213 Absolutely. It starts out with heavy assists to help get you used to it. But the assists tone down as you progress through each of the 4 cups, so don't get the wrong first impression like I did, lol.

No offense, but ' 3 starring' Gold Cup wasn't that hard as long as you actually won the matches lol. To beat Kenji on gold, ACE, and the first like 5 people in Champions Cup, I had to use mostly backhand shots. Still haven't finished Champions Cup though. What did you use to record this?

@GibsonD90 A Sanyo Xacti GH2 for the screen and a Kodak Z712 IS for the PIP shot. I've got a Xacti FH1A now though, and prefer it over the GH2. It was $100 more but you get a remote, better low-light performance, better battery life, better build quality, better sound quality, high speed recording (240fps and 600fps) an ac adapter, a 37mm thread for filters, etc. Got it on Amazon.

@Fortunate1321 A user on the forum I go to told us to focus on hitting the ball to Kenji's left/your right, including on serves. I followed his advice and 3-starred him on my next attempt.

I think what also helped was, sidestepping to the left so I could do forehands more often in cases where previously I would have settled for a backhand, which on me is weaker than my forehand. So being more active, getting into the optimal stance seemed to contribute.
