When we were kids and lived about 80 miles from Syracuse,we use to take turns sleeping over at different friends house, just to stay up late and watch scary movies hosted by the Baron!
I remember coming home from school everyday and watching this show. I also remember local shows such as Jet Set and (the Utica) Bozo. When was the last time Baran Daemon appeared?
The tribute site is great I will be back again and again! Not because I ever saw him, but because I grew up on Sammy Terry and loved him so much-- he had a signature laugh and side kicks too
Thanks for posting. I am well aware of Sammy Terry. A transplanted Syracusian sent me eight episodes of Sammy Terry from the eighties. Great stuff. I like the whole ambiance he created as well as his colorful cast of characters like George and boggieman.
I couldn't wait to see "The Baron" when I was a kid. Had his t-shirt and my mom got me the record too, which we still have somewhere. He had a great sense of comedy in his skits, I even realized that at a young age. All the kids I knew loved him and all the boys to imitate his "Bwaahahaha!" : )
I seem to recall him picking up girls (literally) on the dance floor and carrying them off (screaming) at the end of the song.
Your grandfather has brought much happiness to very many. Here is a URL of a website I built in honor of his accomplishments which inspired me when i was very young. I get 10 to 15 emails a week from people all over the world who vist the site. Thank you for posting.
hey! you're ONE COOL GHOUL for uploading the BARON! He def deserves a spot on u-tube!
Just watched his guest retirement spot on BRIDGESTREET-awesome guy! I had the honor of having him come to my haunted house and signing my Baron record :) :) :)

The Baron's backup band is really Sam and the Twisters! Sam Amato passed away yesterday, RIP Sam. Can't beat the Baron!!!

This was one of the fun things about growing up in the Syracuse area back then. My brother used to play this on his guitar. What memories...

Does anyone remember the show on WNDR in Syracuse around 62' or 63' called "Count deCreep Showtime" featuring "Roseblood"?
Gosh does this take me back.
Pete.

I can truly say Mike Price serves as an inspiration to my journalistic efforts. I hope Baron Daemon lives on forever in CNY
