They have sectarianism, and a similar accent. Beyond that they're no more culturally similar than the republic. The accent is a moot point, since anyone in the republic will easily understand what's being said by someone from the north OR scotland. And sectarianism doesn't feature in the Limmys Show. At all. So its simply a bullshit generalisation, concocted out of hot air, that Northern Irish folk will somehow find Limmys Show 'funnier' than those from the Republic.

@d33pS3Ad1v3r Nah. The Republic is way different to Scotland and NI when it comes to comedy. We use different lingo and have a different sense of humor. The sectarianism has made it kind of dark and all that, irish humor is a bit more carefree or based around light hearted topics. A good example of Irish humor would be Father Ted. Not a bad thing, but it's the way it is. Most Republicans i've spoke to up here, rarely understood jokes or cultural references we made.
