i'm quite impressed by the number of people who managed to sing this with the high notes. My favourite on this one is diana damrau, i find it the most dramatic.
lovely woman. light lovely voice. *totally* wrong for the queen of the night... she would be an outstanding olympia - does anyone have clips of her singing other roles?
You are very right it does look easy to her and that is a good thing that she isn't struggling. But, this is a fierce part and is from a very dramatic opera therefore requires some over-exaggeration. She has very little expression.
tengo que decirlo... esta es una de las mejores representaciones de aria. He quedado sin palabras... quizas sea mucho mi atrevimiento, pero la encuentro a la altura de la aria de Callas ^^ mis felicitaciones.
She seems to a very simple person. I really liked her stacatto. I won't say that the aria is worst than the other ones just because this is a little bit different, I like the sound slower and she has a powerful voice.
Her voice is pretty, but a little acting could certainly help. I don't feel like she's telling her daughter that she will sever tthe bonds of nature if she doesn't kill Sarastro. I feel like she's singing something pretty.
ausgezeichnet! Ich konnte alle Wörter verstehen.... I don't know much about classical singing but at least she inunciated the German words very well. This is one of the few versions in which I could actually hear the words and not just mumbling sounds =o)
Very good performance. I think the best Queens don't speed up the high coloratura, but keep it steady or even slow it down, which is what Melero does here.
She sings so calmly yet she gets the high notes better than others I've heard...nice.

Melero for me is one of the best in technique actually (also, her potential
is incredible. It seems about 2006). Damrau sings really well! For me is
the best, too :)

Pretty voice and nice technique, but her interpretation is way too sweet, too placid. She sounds more like a Pamina.

a blonde/olympia voice singing the queen... wrong casting...and needs more head tone --- it is so chirpy...and the temp os slower than need be

Her voice is fantastic, her tecnique is great (look at her chest!) but she looses the TEMPO. This should be corrected by the director...
carloCGN 3 years ago
No falla en el TEMPO. Únicamente se ciñe a seguirlo como lo marca el director...
