Small problems: economy is in the tanl; banks hoarding billions we gave them all for nothing; war in Iraq and Afghanistan out there... on and on and on. They've got their hands full folks. Imagining that they'll give 2 shits about $cilons at this point in the term is at best naive.
This being said, times of economic crisis and recession / depression ARE great times for making scapegoats, so who knows. Think we'll have to wait and demonize.. oops I mean expose $cilontology a bit MOAR first!
True, true. And at least some of us have begun adding searching for $cientology connections to background researches for biographic data for people in power now as a matter of course rather than curiosity. You would be suprised what turns up when you go digging with purpose, just how deep this rabbit hole is.
Better for me for nao at least, to spend my time playing "try to spot the $cilontological influences (if any) in the Obama Administration," THEN we go to the Fed wherever they are NOT!
With Bush they were in the Dept of Education and brought over with the "high stakes testing" insanity that emerged and turned into NCLB under the direction of a $cientologist political appointee. TruFax, sadly.
Back in the heyday, their leader LRH played a "long game" strategy and literally instructed his people to infiltrate government in a direct effort to influence social policy. Here we are, 40 years and millions in contributions later.. it's time to play "spot the $cilontologist" again.
Worth a try. And might get some well timed press coverage in conjunction with the inauguration.

Well, we could say that taxing Scientology would bring the government some badly-needed funds.

Awesome stuff. Scientology is the biggest pile of bullshit on the planet. It must die, for lulz and great justice.
