You guys are so funny, Dogs are really only suppose to be on a leash out doors so they don't run off and to give the community a feeling of safety and security. @sunesnigel what if it runs away and gets killed by some huge meat eating animal? maybe it's a little safer, especially being around the big humans; the harness would probably make it easier to catch in case of falling. don't agree it should be around humans anyways, it's a wild animal, but animals in human care need to be safe too. a tiny thing like that would break its bones if it fell improperly.

Monkeys like this instinctively cling on to a parent/relative, so if you need to tie it up to keep it on you, you're a shitty surrogate. It's only going to leave you if you're not taking care of it, if it doesn't feel safe with you, etc. Even if it's at an age where it's starting to explore, it will stay close to it's family, and won't run away unless what I've said applies to it.

No, they really aren't. Off the top of my head I can tell you that ferrets, which are domesticated from the polecat cannot survive in the wild. Don't talk crap about shit you don't understand.

Domesticated animals in general will find it hard to survive in the wild, even if they are born there. Bovine, for example, generally require milking, because they've been bread in such a way that they produce much more milk than is required.

There are many areas where pets are released and become a pest after they breed and start taking over an area. There are many animals we consider domesticated that can still survive in the wild. I believe people have actually found hamsters that were turned loose, surviving successfully, they just die off because there's no other hamster around to breed with.
