  • yeah make friends that dont stab

  • I hate those DVD's who boast about there ultimate knife fighting technique. This so called ultimate technique is just a bunch of regurgitated shit from real martial arts.

  • Nice knife ! I'd love to have one !!

  • If you got caught with it in the UK, 4 years in jail right away.

  • @lachlan1971 Move to the US, we love knives !

  • @RECONDO101st

I tell you, I'm considering it. You're not even allowed to say the word "gun" over here.

  • @lachlan1971 Come on, we need more people over that actually WANT to be here and love guns !

  • looks like it came from their kitchen cutlery line. Don't get me wrong, I love kershaw, but it still looks like a kitchen knife.

  • I agree with thegreatsamon, tru knife fights are rare, as it is very uncommon to find a situation where both parties are armed and trained. Also, knives often do more harm than good to the wielder, as few are trained in the use of a knife for combat, but it is more than common to find a man capable of disarming and dispatching an armed opponent. I have taken quite a few knives away from armed attackers using my martial arts training and experience.

  • DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP! \m/ r.i.p. Bon Scott!

  • i bought this same knife a year or two ago, the handle scales will come loose and fall out eventually, i had to dip my handle in a ruberized paint over and over again to make a handle. only draw back, other than that the knife has been amazing

  • I am however gonna Make a custom kydex sheath to cut down on size and rattle.

  • Took your advice on the knife modifications. They really do make this good knife great! Thanks.

  • I hate the term 'fighting knife' , its hardly a fight if your sticking a knife in someones chest..it's combat with intent to kill. You carry this when wearing a suit? haha..paranoid much?

  • @thegreatsamon Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

  • @icychap EPIC =)

  • @thegreatsamon The term fighting knife simply means a knife for fighting, pretty self explanatory. This doesn't necessarily mean you intend to kill your opponent, just that it's ready and useful in a sudden fighting situation. Combat with intent to kill would be if you were carrying a tactical military knife while doing MOUT looking for enemies.

Also, why not wear a knife with a suit? Or even a concealed firearm? Wearing and not needing is much safer than really needing it, and not wearing it.

  • @MacEwanMouse

a concealed firearm? typical paranoid american fantasising about being a hero arent you?. It is not a fight if you are using a knife, you won't come out of it with a black eye and shaking hands with the other person, youll be a murderer. tactical military knife or kitchen knife, it woyuld be used to severely injure or kill your enemy so its not different.

  • @thegreatsamon Obviously you have a skewed and ignorant view on American culture, I'm sorry this is the case. I can tell by your mentality you've never visited the US nor been in a stressful situation of conflict. I know the weapon laws in the UK are much stricter than here in the US, and I know it's pretty norm for you not to carry any weapons. That's just not the case here. There's more crime, more violence here.

Also, no you won't be a murderer, self defense with a knife is acceptable.

  • @MacEwanMouse

american culture? all 200 years of it consist of guns and weapons being available to children and dangerous uneducated nutters. That's why you have so much crime and dangerous cities mate! stupidly relaxed views on gun and knife ownership being battled with the idealology of 'there will be less gun crime if everyone owns a gun' not been in a stressful situation of conflict?haha not quite.going to KFC with a knife or gun is fucking retarded and says alot about your education.

  • @thegreatsamon Friend, your argument is invalid, look at Switzerland. Almost all families own guns and they have some of the lowest crime rate, even lower than yours. In fact the UK has some of the highest crime rate in all of Europe, even with the anti-gun laws. Look at Argentina, guns are outlawed, people are robbed everyday, people are afraid to go out at night. People have the right to defend themselves to the fullest extent, taking that away empowers people who will break the law anyway.

  • @thegreatsamon Continuing previous statement based on yours, Guns allowed to children? What? I see further that you've done 0 research. Yes HISTORICALLY that was the case, as was many places, now we have very strict gun laws. I laugh if you honestly think you can sell to children legally. Uneducated nutters? Seeing that you make such a broad and all-inclusive statement shows me you're uneducated, again your argument is invalid. Also its not just KFC, dangerous situations happen anywhere, anytime

  • @MacEwanMouse I said available to children not sold or allowed, the fact you don't have to put your guns in safes is why the kids get them.Your gun laws aren't strict at all, people legally carrying guns every day with no training is stupid and dangerous. It's your governments responsibility to protect you and police the streets with armed officers, carrying a gun or having guns so easily available to everyone will just make the crime worse. If I punched you in the face would you reach for a knife?

  • @thegreatsamon Actually you need to pass both gun safety courses, and background checks to carry concealed in the US. Also, guns are available to your children as well. Like I said, if people want to break the law, they will. It's the people who obey the law that get screwed over. If you punched me in the face I wouldn't use a knife, if you and several people were trying to beat me down I most certainly would. Life's too important to not defend yourself with all available means.

  • @thegreatsamon Also, again continueing previous post. The fault that people don't teach their kids about guns, or putting them in safes, isn't the governments fault, its the owners fault. Your view is skewed because you see some bad instances on the news about guns hurting people, but honestly think to yourself, if someone was doing a crime with a gun, and were willing to break the law in the first place, what's to stop them from breaking the law to get a firearm in their possession?

  • @MacEwanMouse what you aren't realising is it is the governments fault that people don't teach or practice gun safety properly, those people shouldn't be allowed guns! background checks and safety courses ey? that'll take a whole two weeks and then someone's out there with a lethal weapon in their pocket legally..shocking! you fail to mention the open carry option being legal in 50 states, openly carrying a gun on your side like a f'ing cowboy. I believe in protecting yourself but not that..

  • @thegreatsamon And there's where we reach an agreement. I don't find it necessary in this day and age to openly carry a firearm unless you're security, law enforcement, military, etc. And on duty in those respective cases. But where your coming from IS a bit of a skewed view, the US isn't some lawless western anymore, there are strict rules about open carry, concealed carry, knife carry, etc. Are you really ready to condemn millions based on the actions of a few bad eggs in comparison?

  • @MacEwanMouse I try to take everything with a pinch of salt but guns and knives are serious things,I own knives and have alot of respect for shooting as a hobby but In England kids go about stabbing/shooting eachother with anything they can find, pointless murders and violence because kids are bored. We can't legaly edc a knife with a cutting edge of 3"or more without 'good reason' and we have the highest murder rate in europe, how is letting people carry weapons going to make it safer?

  • @thegreatsamon This is a textbook example of desensitization. If you have no access to firearms, knives, or weapons in general, you do not develop a respect or view of safety for said weapon. Majority of kids who find thier parents guns out of the safe and shoot each other, were never introduced to the weapon or taught how to be safe around it.

Stripping weapons from people can be quite counter productive. Criminals can safely rob someone, and don't need to put as much thought into their safety

  • @thegreatsamon Continueing... If a criminal is in an area where people may be armed, unless he truly has nothing to lose, even his life, chances are the criminal will think twice before attacking someone who is armed. Carrying a weapon will not solve crimes, or criminals, people who are going to break the law will regardless of what laws are in place. The difference is defense of your own life and property, even if someone wants money bad enough, chances are they won't want to lose their life.

  • @thegreatsamon

Knives and guns are not the problem. The real problem lies with society.

  • bout fukin time i clicked on a video with good music

  • First off I like the modifications. Secondly the sheath rattles far too much for my personal taste. I'm planing to have a leather sheath made soon for mine. Its really more of a last dinch concealed knife then a military battle field knife. But otherwise I agree with you. I also agree on buying local and its bennifits.

  • might i suggest wrapping the kinfe guards you dislike with paracord, try it, you might be suprised.

  • @UserUnknown77 Because people don't bleed marshmallows.

  • i live in new zealand, the ONLY way i can buy these knifes or many other types of knifes is from online. our small hunting shops suck ass, they only stock like ten knifes..... mostly crap ones too.

  • I like this knife. It reminds me of the knives German trench raiders used in World War I. Short and light, and some were cut down from bayonets. Interestingly, trench raiders and miners on both sides in that conflict preferred short knives like this for their killing, reserving their pistols and grenades for emergencies, and they nearly always used them in the icepick grip. Those guys killed people almost every night, so I figure they must have known something about murder we don't remember.

  • great song

  • i have this knife and i think it is very good. i agree that it's not best for military aplication but it is brilliant for self defence. the down side is i live in scotland so i can't carry it around in public but for traveling in forign countries i do carry this on me.

  • i'm gonna check that place out. i live in huntington and i go to "the campsite" as well as a bunch of tackle shops that carry knives.

  • @nightmarefacility Where is The Campsite?

  • @icychap on route 110 northbound past Jericho turnpike (25a). The have an amazing gun selection, from "western" style revolvers to tactical/military stuff. They also have good equipment, fishing gear, all hunting/ bow hunting supply etc. It's been around a while. I think the full name is "Sweezy's Campsite". Just got a nice mag-lite on sale there.

  • @nightmarefacility Near Gossip?

  • @icychap never heard of 'gossip'. it's pretty much across the street from this gross taco bell/pizza hut combination facility. Campsite, Huntington Station, Rt. 110, just google it.

  • I want to thank you for a great presentation. I looking forward at watching more of your videos. Great job!

  • Cool knife. If you enjoy looking at knives, please check out my website on my channel. It's knife porn for the knife addict.

  • Could u do a review on the Ka-bar and boker magnum bootknife so far I'm stuck between kershaw and those to leaning more toward boker has everything u mentioned in the video only problem is that it's made out of 420ss

  • hm, nice. very informative

  • what would you recommand?

a s&w 820B boot knife or a kershaw boot knife?

  • I would recommend the S&W. Though the size and length are comparable, the S&W feels more comfortable and fast in my hand. The handle is more filling and contoured better for positive control.

That's personal to me, and either knife might work for someone else. I will have to do a review of the 10" dagger - preferred - and the Hostage Rescue.

Bear in mind I think the CS Peacekeeper is superior to both.

  • thx for the information man!

but witch peace keeper the I or the II

  • I prefer the PK2. The 1 is a little too big for carry, IMHO.

  • i have a question about the sheat the straps where you need to put it to your belt is it with velpro or a pocket clip or something else?

  • I use a thin webbing strap with a quick release buckle. They are available at any outfitter.

  • This kinda saddens me, I wanted one, but it looks more like a steak knife...

  • Where Can i get one round ipswich

  • ARRGGHH

I'm torn between either this the Gerber Guardian Back Up or the SOG Mini Pentagon..

So hard to choose only one.. (For now)

Any suggestions as to what to get (First) ?

  • I don't think the serrated edge of the Pentagon adds enough utility to warrant its inclusion in this type of knife. The Gerber on the other hand will cut more easily and quickly, and has a slightly more robust handle. I would choose the Gerber all the way.

  • Thanks for the review! I'm thinking about getting one of these.

  • They're a fun addition to any collection, but I find there are others I would choose over it. It's practical because it's so small, but even in this size range there are better options.

  • What others would you recommend?

  • I have a review of the Cold Steel Peacekeeper II - I think that's a better option. The Applegate dagger (by Boker) is, IMHO, the best small fighting knife ever designed. I think it's a little short to be a combat blade, but as an urban fighting knife it's ideal.

  • learn arnis, then you might have a little idea of knife fighting.

  • im a red belt in karate and i know arnis.

and for everyone who thonks that karate is quer well it's not it focuses alot on breathing and being light footed.like training to be an assassin.

  • Sweet ACDC

does the sheath come with a clip on the back?

you think it would considering its called a boot knife.....

  • Mine didn't come with a clip, but you could probably fashion a reasonable one from a mobile phone case. Haven't tried it, but it should work!

  • Idk, this knife is just sexy imo, it looks like a greek sword or something. It also looks like some kinda German WWII Knife imo. Very nice review, this knife is awesome.

  • it's funny that i did the same thing with my blade, i cut notches in it for some jimping. be aware that the POM handle scales can come off, mine did, and i gorilla glued it back.

  • Good job man. nice little piece. One more advantage of buying local, is that if you have future problems with the product, you don't have to go through all the trouble of shipping & handling to get it fixed. Most smart busisnessmen are more than happy to rectify the problem then and there.

  • Great review, and I agree wholeheartedly on supporting local shops.

  • Well said about supporting the local brick and mortar. I only recently found out there was a knife shop within a few miles of my home for the last 15 years. Unfortunately, I learned this just a bit too late as they had gone out of business just a month or two prior.

On the plus side, now would be a great time to start up a knife shop. The closest competition is about 25-30 minutes away. :(
