Clean 45 you have spinning there!! I recently aquired a 12" promo radio single of this classic..I was quite surprised to find this on a 12" single format since it's a slow tempoed song.
Felt like freedom: Driving in my new, used car. All the windows rolled down. My 1st car, a '71 Chevy Malibu. & this song on the radio. Cranked UP. I remember.
I have a fond memory of hearing this on the jukebox at my first paying job at a taco joint in the late 70s. This is the ultimate 70s driving with your lady with the top down on a sunny day song.
I have this on a styrene Gold Standard Series reissue 45 (circa 1982, as RCA was taking its sweet time relocating its vinyl pressing facilities)...your original stock copy sounds great!
@tama3266 I won it on a radio station contest in Los Angeles... Played three songs over and over again: Count On Me, Crazy Feeling, and Runaway... I was 12 back then, also 44 today. Here we are in the future. Is it everything we expected it to be...?
I remembering buying 45's. If not for the cover sleeve artwork. It was always different for each single and different than the album cover. plus, I had something to show for the little money I earned. great single and thanks for posting.
OH Man! Old 45 on the turntable...Great great memories my friend. Thanks for the sound of the needle and the little pops and crackles it brings...vinyl....friggin awesome sound. "Groovey!" lol
This is a SWEEEEET!!! channel! Seeing the wrapper, the vinyl, the old analog grooves pushing their melody through the air, is beautiful and just one more element of magic for which I thank God. Thank you for this rare treat!!
One of my all time favorite songs. I remember the summer of 1978 like it was yesterday. I listened to this song a million times that summer. I was missing my first love and my best friend who had moved.
I was at the Yogananda self realization fellowship in Malibu,at the lake shrine on I was at the Yogananda self realization fellowship lake shrine in Malibu one sunny sunday in 2000, a was feeding the swans. A lady yelled across at me- "Please don't feed the swans- we take care of them ourselves thank you" I said I know that fucking voice.
This is going to sound weird, but all of a sudden, this song popped into my head. I just had to hear it, so I did a search on youtube, and bam! there it was.
Cool, what a great guitar solo. Craig Chaciquo, or whatever his name is something else. This was about the same time they were on the Star Wars Holiday Special.
Awsome song, Hearing this song brings back alot of memories, 70s music captured the essence of what real music once was!!!
