  • No Indian Pacific? Also, I know where you can get ghan carriages, with the ghan plaue but no red and yellow stip. I also know where to get Silver Overland Carriages!

  • Hi just wondering where you found the carriges for The Ghan. i cant find them anywhere. thanks

    great video to. 5*

  • @phillonly

Lima produce the Ghan carriages. Old stock is around $30ea, new stock produced since Hornby purchased Lima is about $80ea! Tomshobbies in Sydney list some of the old stock is still available at the cheaper price.

  • Is it?

  • What is that passanger train at 1:58 with the red roof?

  • @cityraildude

That's "The Overland", a train which runs between Melbourne and Adelaide. The Maroon colour scheme shown on those carriages first appeared in the 1950's and lasted into the 1990's.

  • nice video love those nr classes with the ghan and frieght top video i loved it 10/10 mate good on you..

  • can u tel me if u no how wide and long would it be as the boad

  • Can't help with the layout dimensions, other than to say it was pretty big.

  • australian layouts are always the best. not only that, but the aussie freight trains look the best when theyre going fast.

  • i have the nr-class ghan and a nr-classin the steellink liverty awesome vid

  • Nice locos, especially The Ghan - it would look unreal with weathering.

  • was that train before the Gahn an A class or a B class

  • The loco at 2mins is a B class in early 1980's teacup livery, at 3:27 there is a B in traditional VR colours. B class HO RTR models will soon be available from Auscision Models

  • loving those sound effects!

    No Tasrail?

  • 2-8-8-4

  • Ive got an NR Indian Pacific in HO

  • Nice vid. See all those NR's in n scale makes me want one even more than i do.

  • Awesome layout and vid.

Does anyone know where to get the black steam train?

  • The Steam loco that appears around 3:32 and 5:50 is a Victorian Railways "X" class 2-8-2 loco. No plastic ready to run models are currently available, there have been brass RTR and whitemetal kits of the loco produced in the past.

  • Do you know what number it has on it?

  • My eyesight isn't that good either! I dont have the master DV tape on the PC anymore so cant check it (the DV master is naturally way higher quality than the youtube vids)

  • kewl! Still great layout. =D

  • Guys you know whack means "bad"?

Anyway, great layout! I loved the NR class, although I heard steam noises in the background, what was that?

  • Would you believe me if I said the steam train noises were from the layout behind this one? OK, they were just some generic sounds I had on hand to replace the screaming kids at the exhibition.

  • yes jolly wack

  • I enjoyed the B, CLP and T class models. Excellent layout.

  • Wack layout!
