I think it is because ufo hunters is rubbish, a bit of light hearted nonsense- or at least that is how i see it. Perhaps the info that dan (+ greer) had was a little too close to the truth for their liking. Also they know that amoung the general public Dan ackroyd is very well liked and known. They would quicker believe or listen to what he had to say , than those boso's on ufo hunters. Just a thought

I don't know about you, but if UFO's were disclosed by our government, I'd like a voice in how we handle the situation by electing like minded individuals into the state and federal branches of government. The problem is the government. We need to get rid of them. Our ancestors put this system in place and they hide stuff and do all sorts of things under a cloak of secrecy. The founding fathers lived in a different era when muskets, slavery and disrespect of women was rampant. I am not envious of those dorks. You can see it clearly in the writing. The right to bear arms may have been the dumbest thing they ever written. It may as well been called the right to kill other people.
Forget the fact that there are 27 amendments already; our leaders are bypassing the constitution at will. They have their own agenda and care more about their power.
