@Jackie1957able It's a soft voice - it's supposed to relax you. I listen to death metal and dubstep a lot of the time but every song by Katie Melua instantly relaxes me and shapes my mood. I'm sorry it doesn't do the same for you.

@KosmoAntoninus Elkie Brooks has a very powerful voice. Her diction is perfect, and phrasing. She has perfect pitch.She is highly respected by other singers. She can sing , Rock Jazz, Blues, a great live performer.
This is HER version...with a beautiful voice and HER take on beautiful song.Katie Melua give's a vulnerable version..awaiting the experience's of her predecessors,perhaps? I love this version :) ...and i love all the one's before it,too :)

A really bad version, Nina Simone and Elkie Brooks do the BEST versions. Melua has a very weak voice.
