How do you spawn without weapons in forge?

You take two people, one is the monitor another is a spartan/elite/whatever. The person can only have one gun. You set one gun in front of the person using the monitor. Then as the person goes to pick up the gun, you delete it as he's picking it up. It might take a few tries but once you get it you'll know it worked.
