Shibas are the kings and queens of drama ... but this, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view) is not a shiba scream. For a more accurate depiction of a shiba scream, look up the video "Shiba Scream - BEWARE 柴犬" and watch from about 5:25 onwards. It sounds more like a little kid screaming than a dog!

I had a female, which would scream so loud when she was on a leech, then we decided to let her loose on the back yard and she would climb the fence and go to the street; eventually she ran away. Now our Male shiba, is retarded. I know he has problems, he's scared of everything. sometimes he gets scared when he sees his own shadow. when we had contruction at our house, he was so scared he had a seizer. we thought he was dieing. but after that he had 2 more. but at least he doesn't scream.

everyone who thinks this shiba is hurt, it's not. it's just expressing frustration through high-pitched yelps, he's fine, really. my dog does that when she gets her bath, except much louder. she's fine, she just doesn't like it, so it's okay when they do this.
