  • yes it was Blind Faith, and its better than this

  • Wonderful cover! First liked these boys in 76, lost interest in the crap they played in th 80's, but certainly redeemed themselves here!!

  • Wow a few styx douchebag haters on this page i see...go pound sand up your ass and go listen to your Nicklefag Bieber gaga while you play warcraft mw3 in your moms basement

  • Who origanly performed this song? Styx does it amazing even if it is a cover

  • @1969DayTripper I think it was a band called Blind Faith.

  • @1969DayTripper I think it was a band called Blind Faith.

  • Whats wrong Styx. You don't have the best song writer in the band anymore so you have to do covers?

  • @marxsbros1 That's why their new name should be STYNX

  • tommy shaw what a bad ass vocalist!

  • I LOVE STYX. i'm seeing them for a 3rd time next saturday. (feburary 4th)

  • What matters most is his desire to sing such and old beautiful song ~~~

  • There are about 100 covers of this song on you tube. None better than the original Blind Faith acoustic, but this one is up there near the top for me. Just saw "behind the music;Styx." Shaw seems to be living his dream and deserves respect as one of americas greatest rock stars.

  • I think Tommy looks And sounds hotter now then in the 80 's !! = )

  • Tommy Motherfucking Shaw.

  • love Styx!! especially Tommy Shaw!

  • Steve Winwood

  • tommy shaw rocks this exellent cover by traffic, 'cant find my way home'.

  • @imbueto i think traffic did the beautiful......"Low spark of high heeled boys"...Blind Faith and Eric Clapton did the beautiful "I can't find my way home" :))

  • @JennaP46 Exactly right. Both tracks you mentioned sung by the fantastic Stevie Winwood!

  • @JennaP46 The Blind Faith original is hard to beat. The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys Album by Traffic is so brilliant. Mind you I am a No # Styx Fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @orses4corses Dude, stop trying to be such a snob.....The low spark is my favorite i love the piano .....i have always loved this band..Steve windwood for one

  • @JennaP46 Sorry should read # 1 Styx Fan.

  • Very nice version but I would expect nothing less.

  • check out BLIND FAITH---just do it

  • This is a great find!! Thanks for posting!!

  • i can sing alota songs...blessed with like a golden voice...whatever...sing better abit unsober...love the sound...hey i can actually get the high tones...but..never in this lifetime could have come to the ears of the blessed with this sound...watch the skys..roswell did happen.

  • tommy shaw you are the best! i love you.

  • great band Blind Faith this is crap

  • boysit ning vevo mdogay mag DL

  • Only three origonal members left in the band... Saw them with April Wine in 79 or 80.. R.I.P John Panozzo!!

  • They did a pretty good job with this too. I've always liked Blind Faith for this as well.

  • going to see STYX for the 3rd time in February.

    cant wait!!!!!

  • Didn't know they covered this tune. Great.

  • Maybe it's were 65 and 85 meet.

  • Dang, I forgot how awesome Styx is!

  • REALLY NICE XOXO GEORGE

  • How good was that?????!!!!!!!!

  • he looks like charles manson and barbie had a kid

  • Love hearing comments from younger people in their teens that love and appreicate good music. I fell in love with Styx sneaking in my older brothers room when he was gone putting on a Styx album at age 8. They just don't put out good music like this anymore.

  • I both love and hate to say this, but I prefer Zakk's version. Not saying this sucks, 'cause it doesn't. In fact, it's pretty damn good. I just think Zakk's version is better, that's all I'm trying to get across. No disrespect, man.

  • @zortchik To each their own. Do you mean Zakk Wylde did a cover of this though? I would like to check that out! This is a really good song that is universal and could be covered by anyone if they really felt it!!

  • @TheHollerwood I shit you not. Album: The Song Remains not the Same

  • Tommy Shaw is awesome ,Still looking good after all these years, You rock this one!;)

  • Styx is my favourite band of all time but Traffic and Blind Faith were pretty awesome. Thanks for covering guys.

  • Steve Winwood would be proud of this Styx version.

  • @vcantr000 Echo this statement!!!!!

  • nothing is free babes no money no honey times are really close for paid youtube membership.......and my opinion it should be that way..

  • you can hardly call a Shaw/JY band Styx

  • I'm 14 and saw Styx perform a couple of weeks ago in Oklahoma. Best concert I've ever been to. I wish they had been the headliners instead of "Yes".. BUT STYX FREAKING KILLED IT. I'M IN LOVE.

  • @hannahbananas4you I'm 14 and what is this

  • @hannahbananas4you Thank you for restoring a portion of my faith in your age group.

  • @hannahbananas4you

At 14 you're listening to Styx and Yes? (LOL) I didn't discover them until 16 - in 1980! Still great stuff ... and yes, Styx is STILL one of the best concerts I've ever seen

  • @hannahbananas4you Woah back up... What's wrong with Yes???

  • 0:05 I hate that popeye impersonating homo:(

  • Can't find my way home too

  • @ibnelmouata1 Try asking someone. Maybe they can help.

  • Blindfaith wrote this and their original version is way better!

  • holy shit!!! dude i was there in the day !! this is amazing

  • vevo sucks!

  • I shook their hands and i took a picture with them bck in 05, when they went touring

  • @crazychadmb I didn't shake their hands when I saw them in '05, but I did touch myself.

  • I shook all their hands back in 05 when they went touring

  • Holy crap for real? This is why I love Styx...alway were able to come through!

  • 美しいアコースティックな曲だと思います。!

  • Great voice!! i love Tommy xxxx

  • i love this cover!!!!

  • tommy shaw....tommy shaw....tommy shaw.....tommy shaw......

  • I photographed Styx in Calgary in 1977. You could see the shots by going to .ianmarkmusicphotos (.com)

  • @mrianmark f*cking lucky bas*ard

  • I wonder why JY cut off his trademark hair that he had for so many years.

  • Benny and Joon <3 <3 <3

  • EXCELLENT!

  • omg! Most singers after they have been singing for years either lose their original voice or just can't hit the notes they used to. Tommy Shaw is STILL awesome!!

  • u r so right that was magic

  • almost as good as stevie winwood who i love. but tommy does this song proud

  • I don't know if anyone has asked this or not I didn't feel like searching the comments. Where is Dennis DeYoung?

  • @amrcngrl1203 Dennis has not been in the band since 1999. This song is from Styx' album "Big Bang Theory," released in 2005.

  • @amrcngrl1203

Dennis de Young left years ago.

  • Who originally sang this song? Was there a band in the 80's that sang it?

  • @amrcngrl1203 no band just stevie winwood

  • @bigbec77 yes there was... blind faith... steve winwoods band with eric clapton

  • @steveaux03 ...remember when tv didn't have the broadcast logo in the corner and they didn't put crappy advert graphics running across the screen during your shows. miss those days.

  • @jaelahd I agree with Youtube with the ads, but they do get annoying. It is the fastest way to get money, and without the ads, there's no money... with no money..... No Youtube?!?!?!? O_O

  • @steveaux03 We probably won't get rid of the ads but I can tell you one thing for sure...I watch a LOT less Youtube videos now and it's their loss.

  • @Funckinnutcase One person can't make a difference on a site that has trillions of uploaded videos a day. Sorry to break it to you though.

  • @steveaux03 firefox >>> adblock+ its free NO ADS hahahah love it not one

  • @steveaux03 I HEAR YA ! JACKED UP

  • @steveaux03 without these ads there will be no more youtube. you can't wait several seconds?

  • @tennowns It would be so much better if they would run the freaking ads on the right side or even at the top and bottom, not directly on the video. it cause my computer to continually buffer through out the whole freaking video. youtube better works something out fast or they might start losing subscribers like Netflix.

  • @steveaux03 I agree with you !00%, I thought is was my computer acting up when it occurred to me that in the past when I was on youtube I didn't have this problem til these freaking ads starting popping up like crazy. Now I can't even listen to my favorite songs or watch a video without it skipping. What the hell were they thinking. Not to mention you can't view the full length of the video without those pesky ads at the bottom. Youtube really freaking suck now.

  • @steveaux03 Remember the days when we didn't get free music? Quit going through life as a whiner!

  • @steveaux03 Remember the old youtube where Google lost $400m in one year? Yeah. Remember this is a business and those advertisements keep this free for us.

  • @DjNajda Remember the old Youtube, when you didn't get hacked, and someone posted a comment that wasn't though out. Kinda like that one? Yeah... Just ignore the comment.

  • Styx remind me minecraft...

  • Not bad, but knowbody can touch Steve Winwoods voice on this song

  • Is that the guy from "Dinner Impossible"at 0:13

  • @70goldtop That is Chuck Panozzo, one of the original founding members.... he does not tour with them but does join them every now and again...

  • Chuck is gay not Tommy. He's got a wife and I forget if there are kids.

  • wonder why he would wear an all seeing eye shirt, hmm

  • Dude....Tommy Shaw is not a fag!

  • @MTBkerz As far as I know Tommy is married

  • Awesome version if this song, but dammit, when is he going to start looking his age!!

  • Good- just.. so good. My guess is, Winwood would approve =)

  • GPS FTW! Same goes for Styx

  • tommy shaw. what a talent. gays are indeed very talented.

  • this is a really good song, it is too bad our generation is listening to 'remixes' which are basically songs from the 70s. if it's not that then it is rap which is just beat with words added to it, it is just a shame...

  • I wish I could be a roadie for these guys...see the world with a dream job

  • he looks like Joe Dirt...

  • he looks like Joe Dirt...

  • I dont ever recall Tommy Shaw singing with such clarity. Good job!

  • Love Styx but I like the House of Lords version better

  • blind faith lol

  • amazing cover

  • This band from early albums like Serpent is Rising, through Equinox ,past Mr. Roboto, and beyond Edge of the Century, has gone through changes. Had people come and go, and made good and bad choices. Kinda like our lives. It makes them who they were and are and me who I was and am. Mark of true talent and ispiration.AWESOME!

  • @liprippuh Well said!

  • OMG, nice cover of that classic song. Saw Styx at the NY State Fair over the summer. Yeah, they still got it, big time!

  • Beautiful!

  • Love me some Tommy but Gowan??? NOT!!! Miss DDY!!! NO DDY NO STYX. This cant even be called Styx Lite!

  • @Tunares1 DDY was getting soft! He can sing but he was turning into a real pussy. Ex...Babe, Mr. Roboto,...etc... STYX rocks again!

  • gosh darn right it's the war people or who care's about the eight e s

  • Tommy has a great voice but the Styx that I grew up listening to is a closed chapter..

  • @Jimdocci I could not agree more!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful Cover to a great Classic!! Thank you

  • I like reading the comments by all the idiots who are the end-all be-all of musical knowledge and try to impress and one-up each other.

    Fools.

  • Tommboy sucks ASS

  • not a bad cover, but the video sucks hahaha

  • Not bad....but styx still isnt the same without dennis

  • wowww those were the days.I remember......

  • Wow Tommy still has a great voice;) loved it!

  • Not Steve Winwood song. It's a Blind Faith song. Steve Winwood composed it. But it originally played with Eric Clapton. As i said, composing is just part of the process.

ps: This version is pretty good.

  • Nice version but, how exactly is this band called Styx? Doesn't seem right really. Tommy joined the band after I think 3 albums. I hope that's JY at least. If it is, he looks different. Wow, I think I'm going to start a band and call it the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

  • @70sforever1 Agreed, this band is as much Styx as Journey is 'Journey' without Steve Perry. Rock egos are silly and pathetic...

  • @Iluvbisquits You guys are both correct, but, nothing we can do but accept it as it is and enjoy the music :/

  • It doesn't get much better than this ;-) Bravo, TS! xo

  • 30 years later and Tommy Shaw still has the pipes for this? Dude was talented back then and still is today. Having seen them in concert, I am always amazed how much they sound like their recordings. It just goes to show that REAL talent doesn't need to be processed through a computer.

  • @MrWilliamsworld - great call...his voice is ridiculously good. man..he must be alto.

  • @MrWilliamsworld Very true :)

Just wish Dennis DeYoung was still with them :(

  • @MrWilliamsworld

I totally agree. I've seen many many bands over the years and Styx are one of the only ones who sound as good as good in concert as they do 'on vinyl'.

  • @MrWilliamsworld I love this man's sound!! love em till the end!!!
