Visually speaking, five seconds into this the first thing I thought of was "Higher Love" by Steve Winwood. Love the contrast, the blown-out white areas with the dark shadows, close-ups of the band playing, aged look, etc.

Plus it's just about the same tempo as <b>"Thriller"</b> so I can dance to it!

No, it was a film look plug in I have for Final Cut. I'm not sure what it's called, but you can control the colors and grain size/trapped hair etc. fairly easily.
