    " Noumenally

Who is there to possess or exercise volition? Who is there to experience the results of volition? Who is there to create a cause? Who is there to suffer an effect?

There is no entity to exercise volition, there is no entity to suffer the results of volition. There is neither a causal nor an effectual entity"

  • wei wu wei kicked ego butt thanks very nice

  • ...okaaay--that really clears it all up. It's like mud now. Too many contradictions that entangle my thoughts as I try to unravel them. As I unravel them, I get tangled even deeper. This is like a vicious circle/cycle. I think the best thing for me to do, is forget all about this headache and not try to think on it at all. In a way, this is good. How so? It's like hitting your head against a wall...it feels so good when you stop. Thanks anyways for trying to explain. Peace.

  • if you meet the buddha on the road...kill him!

    ....especially if he's blabbering bullshit.

  • I'd suggest that you do not post this video. The more we expose this kind of material, the more it will be distorted by those not intent on understanding it. It's not elitism, I understand the willingness to discuss this kind of material in a medium such as youtube. However, if real interest is aroused in a subject, forces (karma) are likely to provide him with the necessary understanding for such curiosity. Youtube is, in my regard, not a useful instrument (upaya) to stimulate such interest.

  • @1midias Just letting the thought reverberate in the sub-conscious is good for a person, man. This is like the monk sitting on the road who you pass without giving any alms. Just looking at his peace will give one some peace. Just seeing the wisdom will make a person wiser. The Tao is a light, and this is its outward flourish.

  • @1midias That is pure unadulterated bullshit. Leave your karma out of such wonderful prose.

  • Is not a name essentially the name of an ego? But the Self, the Principal, the I-Reality has no name.

  • Read this book. It's amazing.

  • @txikilin in what way the book is amazing? I plan to buy it, but i am not sure yet.

  • @Claudia2288 He writings puts you deeply into what time and present is. The past, eternity, attachment and so on. It is hard to get at first readings but once you get use to meanings such as noumenon and phenomenon the book becomes easier to understand. Just be patient.
