Okay to get it right, her mom didn't abuse her, her stepdad did. Raye Smith(Kelsey's mom) went to pick her stepdaughter up, and when she got back, there were ambulances infront of her house. To this day, Kathie Briggs and her family hate Raye and they have her only son in custody. So Raye is in so much pain and she lost her daughter and she's in a constant custody battle for her son. It's a shame to the Briggs family that they are disturbing Kelsey. R.I.P Kelsey.......You will be remembered.

Even when you try to step in with neighbours you have to go thru so much red tape that by the time anything is eventually done its most often too late...just last year we had 6 case of child neglect where children were un fed poor hygiene and malnutrician...and it went undetected in one case for 6 months. even with neighbours stating concerns...one boy was in a box for they think over a year he couldn't walk.. breaks my heart as a mother.. sorry for mis-understanding of your comment.

Okay to get it right, her mom didn't abuse her, her stepdad did. Raye Smith(Kelsey's mom) went to pick her stepdaughter up, and when she got back, there were ambulances infront of her house. To this day, Kathie Briggs and her family hate Raye and they have her only son in custody. So Raye is in so much pain and she lost her daughter and she's in a constant custody battle for her son. It's a shame to the Briggs family that they are disturbing Kelsey. R.I.P Kelsey.......You will be remembered.

I admit I had tears in my eyes after seeing this. What a beautiful little child. How could anybody do this? I hope the worst things happen to the murderers of this poor child. I hope they spend the rest of their life and eternity suffering for what they did. No child should have to go through such pain and horror.

I have done the research and it is not all black in white here. I do know that Kathie was the just as quilty and maybe she should be in prison also. Lance was in rehab when his little one lost her life, not in Iraq. My thoughts and prayers are for both family's that did not play a roll in the abuse and maybe someday Kelsey will be able to rest in peace

You clearly did not understand my response, as I said ,this abuse ,and death of this precious child ,did not happen in a vacuum, there are many players. The black and white part ,is that the child is dead,that cannot be changed.What disgusts me is even though there were others around,as you said you even tried to step in, he still managed to do this to this little angel, what disgusts me a complete system failure. So my hope is that this monster gets everything coming to him.

Yes it was a complete failure on the systems part, actually I meant my own niece, im 43 now,,not Kelsey..Unfortunately he hasn't gottne all that he deserves becauseof the father and grandmother accepting his plea bargain he got 30 years,,,he should of been charged with murder and gotten the death penalty so you see she still didn't get justice even in death...Her family still let her down....Im in australia and the sad thing is we aren't free of the same sytem failure...

Even when you try to step in with neighbours you have to go thru so much red tape that by the time anything is eventually done its most often too late...just last year we had 6 case of child neglect where children were un fed poor hygiene and malnutrician...and it went undetected in one case for 6 months. even with neighbours stating concerns...one boy was in a box for they think over a year he couldn't walk.. breaks my heart as a mother.. sorry for mis-understanding of your comment.

What a beautiful tribute to Kelsey..Thank you for making this video in her honour and it is nice to see her life when she was happy and not full of bruises. I can't stop crying, I am crying the same amount of tears as I did when I lost my mother to cancer which shows how much this tragic event has affected everyone around the world. i saw the true story and her step-dad abused her..coz her dad and mum got divorced then her dad went to iraq and she married a low-life abuser and eventually he killed that adorable little girl instead of her real dad returning to a warm welcoming he had to bury his little girl.her step-dad was jailed for 30 yrs and her mum for 27 for lettin it happen!also that evil step-dad of hers,broke both of her legs and then an arm until he hit her in the stomach so hard she died.he shuld hav lyf jail!!!!

This beautiful little girl who had 2 years of happiness and because her mom met some sick freak, she had to go through 9 months of sick perverted torture.
