I just saw Envy live and while I'm a huge fan of their music (they make some of the most beautiful music) and while they play it well live, I can't help but say I was underwhelmed by their stage performance and presence. I dunno if it's because of the language barrier, but the audience was not engaged at all.

"Screamo" isn't the real genre name. It is actually called post-hardcore. People only call it screamo because this kind of music isn't that popular compared to all the pop artists out there. It's just the taste currently. Anyways, the pop or rap fans look at this kind of music and refer to it as "emo". And since it has screaming in it. they consider it "screamo". Post-hardcore is just hardcore music with a punk sound to it.
