  • heres a thought..the last guy who beat up cotto was margarito. 6 months later he was beat up by mosley. could the same fate hit pacman? to me i see alot of similarities..both margo and pac got a beating while beating cotto, lol. both of them walked through cotto's shots. both of them stopped cotto in the later rounds. I dont know but I wouldnt be surprised if a ''Miguel Cotto Curse'' develops from this whole thing.

  • great video

  • have u seen the liar's interview after the cotto and pacquiao fight? he's to fool of himself i dont know if he is dreaming or what this is what he gets for all the crap the his father and uncle feeds his head.

  • the more i look at this guy, the more i see a robert deniro. is it just me?

    hehehe!

anyway, nice prediction. you were right

  • Pacquiao got hurt bad in this fight with Cotto he needs to take some time off. glad Pac said himselfe he is taking some time off it might not look like it but Pac took some bad shots to the body and head

  • Comment removed

  • To be truthful, I don't want to see a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight right now. Afterwards we really have nothing to look forward to of the same magnitude unless they rematch.

Pacquiao pretty much cleans up the entire JWW division. That is nothing but eye candy for Pacquiao-nut huggers.

  • what do you mean cleans up? he only fought there once..

  • The lazy media are trying to shove a Pac-MW fight down people's throats. Why? Unless MW beats the winner of Williams-Martinez first, Pac still reigns as P4P king even if he were to lose to MW.

Myself, I'd rather see Pac-Mosley. That would be exciting and worth paying for. None of MW's fight's are (if he has any say in the matter)

If it is to be Pac-MW, Pacman should be generous and give MW 40% purse. Even though he's probably only worth 35% under current conditions.

  • agree with you lane99 i rather see pac vs shane than pac vs floyd. i dont like the media making so much importance on floyd.

  • They already tried Pac-Mosley. Roach wants Mosley to come down to 141-142. Mosley is obviously isn't having that, I don't care if people think he is an all-time great.

At the moment, Berto is a breat match-up for Mosley. The aspiring young buck versus the aging legend.

And lastly, no other Boxer in the WW or LW division deserves a shot other than Mayweather. Pacquiao HAS to fight him to solidify himself as does Floyd. Unless it happens there will always be questions.

  • Manny doesn't much need MW. Pac could retire tomorrow with a virtually unprecedented legacy.

MW is skilled enough so that his natural size advantage SHOULD allow him to beat Pac. So not much downside for Manny in historical terms even if he were to lose.

I disagree that MW "deserves" a shot at Pac more than others. Fraud's fought one time in the past two years. And he couldn't even knock out, in spite of his best efforts, a guy twice his age and half his size.

  • If he retired tomorrow he would leave without the million dollar question being answered: "Could he defeat Floyd Mayweather?"

As for this "unprecedented legacy" you speak of. Shane Mosley's legacy is much more to speak of than Manny Pacquiao. He's being compared to Boxers of Legend too soon without even facing top competition. He fought Miguel Cotto @ 145 - that just shows you Pacquiao needs a weight advantage to win fights @ WW.

    Mayweather > Pacquiao.

  • If they both retired tomorrow, Pac would have the greater legacy.

  • i'd rather see pac-berto and mosley-mayweather.

  • jkfitpro - I appreciate it.

  • Islander - Good to have you back.

Spot on with your prediction mate! It should've been stopped in the 9th at the latest. Cotto's corner didnt have a clue.Cotto was doin ok until he got a rush of blood and got caught in exchanges. Manny keeps surprising me - I never saw that shell defence, Rope-a-Dope shit coming! Or him being able to eat Cottos shots.

Do you have him beating "the fucking liar"? lol Im scared to bet against Manny now but I think Floyd has the style to nuetralise him.

  • Cotto loss to Pacquiao is suprising? How many times has Cotto been staggered throughout his career - en route to Pacquiao? Am I the only one that saw Zab Judah out point him the same way he did Mayweather in the first two rounds?

Pacquiao's win over Cotto holds more clout due to Mayweather's choice of not getting to him first. However, a fast-aggressive puncher against a walking punching back with virtually no defense. Who do you think would win?

  • No I wasnt that surprised that Pacquiao won. But I was surprised by some things he did. For example - standing and eating Cotto's left hooks like they were nothin. The rope-a-dope thing.

Cotto being staggered against Judah etc didnt have much to do with it. If Pac hits anyone on the chin from an angle they cant see, they're going down.

  • Yeah, Pacquiao track record shows that his "punching bag" opponents who willing stand there and take shots to the face just to give one back really makes him look more spectatcular than what he appears to be.

Marquez gave him the most trouble, but Marquez has bad foot work. Floyd's style is just too much for the Filipino to carry. He can stand there and throw all he wants. Cotto's jab landed effectively in the early rounds. Floyd's ability to throw straights and jab constantly will trouble Pac.

  • David Haye's fight was HORRIBLE. I paid 15 quid for that pile of wank. But the good news is apparently so did almos a million other drunk Brits......lol PPV numbers were unbelivable. Whatever you say about him, hes good for boxing, he can sell a fight and is bringing much needed eposure to the division. I gotta agree though, he'll get knocked spark out by at least one of the Klitschkos.....it'll be some event though.

  • Hello...too bad your old channel got booted...A year ago you said pacman cannot beat de la hoya. and that cotto, hatton, mayweather vs pacquiao will never happen...yeah remember me. I said its not impossible for pacquiao to fight these guys and win. you said otherwise...uh-huh... well look who's changing feathers... who's laughing now.

  • bitch-I appreciate your sympathy, can you go hunt down the ball-less fucks that got my old channel taken down please?

I'm glad there is room for the mindless I told you so viewers. Should I explain? Will it even matter?

    I'll try.

Pacquiao convinced me otherwise vs. DeLaHoya. End of story

You noticed (probably not) I picked Pacquiao to stop both Hatton and Cotto and to beat David Diaz? Nah you only hear what you want to hear.

    Thanks anyway.

  • Nut-huggers miss what's great about boxing. Until a champion has proven himself, especially over time, he will no doubt prove intelligent detractors like yourself wrong at some point. It's at those moments when the once-in-a-generation fighters rise, and you tip your hat and enjoy that you got to live to see it.

  • i dont like you. i dont even know why but i dont like you. fucking cunt

  • mayweather will duck pac man. all day!!! quack quack

  • gizroc - from now on Mayweather will be referred to as "THE LIAR" on my channel. The duck/chicken is nice but he is what he is, a liar.

  • or, how about: "Fraud" Mayweather

  • Congrats again in nailing that fight last night Islander.

I had a feeling it was going to be like Pac-EM II.

But, my prediction was 115-113 for Pac.

I did not envision the beatdown like that though.

  • Islander, with my age I'm aware of how sports get lost to future generations when the sport loses its credibility. I had the nerve to say, on the RA/FM interview thread that the sport was getting sissified by the likes of Mayweather and would lose future potential fans to the UFC crap. Some mindless boxing fanatic went apeshit and started in with the "fuck you's" on me, saying I wasn't a true boxing fan. I loved the passion, but I find that to be the kind of denial that will ensure mediocrity.

  • fairtalways- the real boxing fans are right here& on GYGB's channel, on 97Ruffs, BloodBoxing, and BigRagu's channels. You have to remember a bunch of people commenting on RA's interview are there b/c o Mayweather whose testicles they coddle. Worse these people are part of the "mainstream" those who eat up every bit of crap that comes out of THE LIAR's mouth. Those are the same people that don't care that Mosley,Margarito and Cotto are 1-1 vs. each other yet The Liar won't get in the ring w/them.

  • It's funny. You may remember how in awe of Margarito I was after the Cotto fight. It's so damned obvious that Mayweather would never step into the ring with him because although he'd win, the damage he would take might shorten his precious career.

  • in the early round..specially the 1st four rounds...cotto was great..he was doing really well and won 1, 3, and 4. he lost 3 and 4 just because of the kds. he was doing great until manny stepped it up and start using his speed. manny timed cotto and countered him with uppercuts

  • Im glad pacman won did u lool at cottos face its just like the margarito beating so why are the hbo comentators still talking shit about how swollen cottos face was after the margo beating they should stop with their shit and I realy hope many beats the shit out of PUSSY MAYWEATHER ONE N FOR ALL . love the show keep it up islander

  • THE FIGHT SHOULD'VE BEEN STOPPED IN THE 9TH OR EARLIER. PACMONSTER KOs THE MAYWEATHERS

  • the early rounds of the cotto pac fight were amazing! it was boxing of the highest quality and a sheer delight to watch. the pac man is a all time legend with hand speed and footwork that simply takes your breath away. i hope we see cotto back in the ring cus he's 1 of my fav fighters with imense skill and heart. The only down side of the fight was hbo constant slander on Margarito. shame on them! if i were him i would definitely be suing there arse.

  • Congrats on the pick Islander.

You nailed it. I did not expect Pac to be the puncher and the stronger guy last night.

    That absolutely shocked me.

I thought Pac was the one going to fight on survival mode late in the fight and eek out a UD.

  • We appreciate your views boxinginfo keep it up.

That was a great match Manny is now officially a champion in 7 weight divisions. Also credit to Cotto for putting up a good fight and full respect to both boxers.

  • I think Cotto was a damage fighter coming into this fight. Cotto and Hatton share a similar pschological beating after their first loss's. Both ended up getting massive amounts of tattoos. Trying to change themselves physically and pschologically. But in the end they did not find their resolve. Its time for Cotto to hang it up, because hes been walking the same path as hatton yet he does not realize it.

Cotto; you will be remembered as a great warrior. Theres nothing left for you to aim for.

  • excuses right away? there's no shot fighter with a cut in his eye will win against a guy like clottey...no way.

  • Clottey got robbed. If he pushed the fight just bit more in the end Clottey would of made the match more to his favor.

Just pointing out that Cotto has faught many wars. Hes still young yet his milage is pretty high in my opinion. I think its time for him to hang it up.

  • manny had so much wars too and had more fights against cotto...cotto was actually doing great in the early round (1-4)../watch the fight again...cotto won the fight...clottey gave up the fight..he didn't do enough and that's his problem..but still...no shot fighter will do that to clottey period. cotto was expect to experiece hell against clottey..and when he did, people label him shot...again, no shot fighter will beat or do that to clottey

  • @kawaiisaki "If he pushed the fight just bit more in the end", CLottey wanted to push the fight but he knew that Cotto was going to KO him if he just dropped his guard and come forward swinging wildly.

  • another great call from the guru himself.......i always visit your show when im in doubt before betting and i ALWAYS win because of you thanks. Try analyzing lotto next time!! Great job as always

  • So I'm just old enough to remember the end of Ali's career, I remember Leonard, Hagler, and Hearns. I got to watch the full careers of Whitaker, Chavez and Jones jr., but I've never seen such a thrill as Pacquiao. He keeps taking on bigger and better foes and knocking em' down. You can cut the excitement that this guy brings with a knife. Take a bow, Manny.

  • classy cotto doesnt deserve to be punished like that. the guy was running away already and i dont understand what his corner were thinking. i have so much respect for cotto that i thought he will win this fight. he doesnt deserve that beating.

  • We were screaming STOP THE FIGHT in the 9th.

  • bro it was a hard fought fight for pacquiao but over all bro empressive ..

  • rd. 1 i was like "what the heck is manny doing"

rd. 2 i was like "bwahahahaha he got me there. the pacman is a real entertainer"

it was an easy fight for the pacman.

  • it wasnt an easy fight bro. Pacquiao never train like what he did to dela hoya. On this fight omg if you know all distraction surrounding pacquiao. As you can see pacquiao's punches are not that accurate than he did to dela hoya. But Overall Pacquiao Is a Legend.

  • lol, we are talking professional fighters here, so dont believe on those "distractions"

in my humble opinion (just like manny steward said), manny pacquiao is now in par with the top 2 greatest boxers of all time. "not this time, not that time, but of all time"- liar mayweather sr.

  • I think the odds are that Manny will TKO Miguel in round 8,9 or 10. A couple of cuts could end this one. Other than that I'd put $100/€100 on a points decision each way. Should be a super competitive fight.

  • Good show my dude. We share the same thoughts on this one. I see images of Ricardo Lopez on Cotto's face unfort he won't come out the victor like Lopez. Should be a great one though. If Sleep would have posted my actual prediction, it's a mirror image of yours ( we'll see if great minds think alike) Oh btw we followed your lead with "friend invite" only, what a relief! Coltrane

  • GYGT-Thx Coltrane like I have said before this is the fight fans fight of the year!

  • test

  • islander.. if you don't think that Mayweather fights the winner of Cotto v Pacquiao.. you seriously need to get off the crack pipe.. Mayweather sole purpose for coming back was to fight Pacquiao.. he fought Marquez as a) a tune up and b) to add drama to the match up by demolishing a guy that gave Pacquiao fits.. have no doubt if Pacquiao wins he will fight him (he will not leave that money on the table) and he will knock Pacquiao out.. if Cotto wins.. he's going to laugh, but will fight him too

  • doc Spoc - Not if you listen to lil Liar - he said he won't do business with Arum, is he lying now or will he be lying in the future.

  • man you need a haircut.

  • Many weeks of waiting just for a damn 6 min. some fight. Make em' last please!

  • welcome back!! was wondering where the hell u were

  • Margarito had loaded gloves against Cotto. Oh and by the way, go fuck yourself.

  • themaestro2657 - lovely name go fuck yourself PUTA ITS CHEAPER! What you fail to realize is I ALWAYS have the last word you scumbag and now you're bringing Cotto bad luck with your nut hugging ways. I'm surprised you survived the shot of DRANO back in July 2008.

  • Thanx for the post Islander, I've been waiting for this. I bet Pacquiao and the under at -140. I dunno, I just don't see this fight goin the distance. Livin' here in Bklyn, I know quite a few Puerto Ricans so I'm kinda rootin for Cotto. Pacquiao can afford ta lose, Cotto can't.I know you hate "Liar" Mayweather(great nickname, I hate him too) but he is the only fighter that I can see beat Pacman, and vice versa. Thanx again!

  • lemonite1- I don't hate the player himself and his skills(Mayweather) I really fucking hate his way about playing and his methods. I still think the fight is a toss ups and will probably end in controversy.

Not sure how Pacquiao would do against Paul Williams at 147.

  • Do you recall fighters who the boxing public had so much contempt for as much as Mayweather? Monzon, Leonard, to some extent Ali? I honestly don't recall a fighter that has actively shunned all notion of having an honorable career and thumbed his nose at fans and media the way Mayweather has.

  • BTW, great prediction. Was there any indication early on that this fighter (from the Philippines!?) would go on to accomplish what he did last night? You mention Armstrong as an analogy, and I too believe in the similarities. Pacquiao leads me to believe that all along, there were fighters from MExico, Asia, Europe,Africa... who could have done great things, just never got the chance. Unfortunately in Boxing there is only so much room at the top.

  • u said it all right stork, exactly wat happend in the fight with cotto/pac during the 1st rounds cotto being caught ans tested and battered right away.

  • don't forget guys boxing on TV aztec tonight if you get it. out here on the WEST coast it starts at 7pm.

C'mon Cotto. I just like his style more

  • Are you going to do a show on the super-six SMW-tournament?

  • @dieallday

"i would easily have picked cotto if it was not for the margarito loss".....

Yeah Manny is experienced as well. I'm telling you the speed factor WON'T be a big factor in this fight like you think it will. Cotto is all-around a better fighter than Pacquiao and it will show as Cotto imposes his will and size on Pacquiao in the middle rounds. Well, anyone can look like a broken man getting hit with BRICKS for 11 rounds and he still wasn't knocked out.

  • haha good point this is why the fight is so great i really can choose against either man caz the out come is hard to predict one thing i know cotto is bigger and stronger manny has speed speed and speed and speed kills there was once saying the bigger they are the harder they fall so we will find out tomorrow cant fucking wait man there is still 27 hours left
  • Good to see u back man, Who is your favorite in the next fights on the Super Six? Also do u think Cotto will take a page from Marquez and alternate between slugging and countering? Also who u think would win in a fight between Haye vs Adamek, since he moved up in weight.

  • What do you think was more impressive? What Wlad did to Chageav or what Vitali did to Arreola?

  • @TERMITEASSASIN1 I never saw the Arreola fight, but i was waiting on edge to catch that Chageav fight on ESPN. Wlad has a sick jab dude, Vitali has that really odd double/triple jab that can sometimes do work, but it's lighter. Boxing is all about the jab, so I say Wlad is slightly better. Shiet I'm going to search for that Arreola fight, but both brothers are almost exactly as good as each other. Vitali very slightly better, GOOD QUESTION!

  • Hey, Islander! Nice to see you come back to do your show. I missed them. Anyway, I agree with you 100% that Jermain Taylor DID NOT BELONG in the Super Six. I still don't get why they put Taylor, who has been subpar in recent fights, in the tourney and not Allan Green (who desperately wants the marquee names) or Lucian Bute! It really boggles my mind!

  • welcome back...................

  • Wow, scheister to describe Floyd Mayweather, hehe right on point. I know Mayweather is naturally gifted as a boxer but the knock on him is he doesnt fight dangerous fights and his boxing style is hit and run and boring. I mean, I wouldnt even call his style SLICK. Just pure defense and very little accurate offense. I dont know what you think about that. I like your break downs man, I too think the Klitchkos would embarrass David Haye with just the stiff jabs even and keep him at bay.

  • " Floyd the fucking liar Mayweather"

    Classic! Islander

Just heard the interview what a douche........

  • fuck wohohoho i love your show islander welcome back....

  • interesting analysis.

  • Good Vid 5/5

  • I hope to see some type of Super six for each boxing division - I think its a great idea.

Floyd does not do great on live or unrehearsed interviews he tends to contradict himself or say something really foolish and I'm not talking about talking trash. But, He maybe the best defensive boxer I've seen but thats as far as it goes.

  • you need to check out sweet pea

that man was defensive wizard even better than willie pep

  • I dunno, Whitaker came at you from the other side, Looong distance for a right hand ta go. Pep was a master boxer as well, lotta feints.

  • Cotto will still get the winner of Mosley vs Berto if he loses, Islander...

  • Cotto by ko in a war

  • and excuse me with my english

  • islander for the first time i think you are wrong, i remember you say in one of your videos ''if Manny fight with cotto or Margarito his boxing career will end'' also you advice Manny for getting away of Cotto and marg

  • yo i thought manny would get killed by cotto or margarito

but i was not expecting him to carry his punch pass 135

but he koed hatton who is solid fighter

and the way he did it

manny made many of us believers

we are using judah as a measuring stick

    and judah looked good

so i think Manny can do better and pull a 12 round UD

  • The diaz fight was a 10 round decision

  • diaz got killed

it was stoppage and good one at that

  • he's talking about Diaz v Chavez September 18th, I was at the fight, it was a back and fourth war.

and since my comment was removed I repeat, it was a 10 round fight, not 12, good vid...

  • FlowerySkillz- Ur right and I did not see the whole fight as I had to watch it over the internet so I didn't see the end.

BTW your comment is still here I'm looking @ it right now sent 13 hours ago.

  • hmm for some reason I can't see it, but ok... Even though I knew Haye was going to steal Holyfields style and get the win before the fight even started. You're the first person I heard mention, he took Holyfields belt, so true.

Even though I hope Johnson can somehow pull something off. After that KO, do u think Vitali will leave his schedual wide open waiting for Haye?

Great vid man, even though your videos are all 20+ mins, I can never close the screen.

  • sorry i thought u were talking about diazVs pac

    wrong fight

  • @dieallday

This is why i love boxing! I really doesn't really get any BETTER than this SUPERFIGHT! We know there is gonna be BLOOD, SACRIFICE, and you really can't ask for more than that! I can't wait either bro...... We have less than 9 hours left OMG!

  • Great to have you back Islander

  • Islander....(lets say....its a reverse, Manny's real weight at 147 and Cotto's weight at 140 and cotto is going up in weight to fight Pacquiao) are we going to give Cotto a chance if he is going up in Manny's weight as we give Manny's chance on this fight?

  • I was amazed to hear that majority of boxing experts (not PACNUGGERS) are picking Pacquiao. I like Pacquiao. I'm Filipino. I like Pacquiao to win. But I see these fight as 50/50 because Manny is going up in weight.

I see cotto as heavier but not bigger compare to Pacquiao.

  • dude if it was not for the margarito fight

cotto would be the 4 to 1 favorite

but the beating he took under margarito's hand

is not something to joke about

it was fight where both fighters left something in the ring

the will never be the same

  • nice video!!

  • Good inciteful upload as ever islander.

I loved the Floyd tape, all his nuthuggers spent days trying to defend it but i think all boxing fans knew RA was right.

I'm holding out my bets on the Pac-Cotto fight but i think Cotto "should win" but it's impossible to judge and thats what boxing needs right now.

In many ways the haye - valuev fight had that billing to it but haye didn't fight his normal way and frankly he probably couldn't have an won.

    great job.

  • great to see you back big man. The floyd interview was classic. Good to see how some fans are finally sick of his shit. Fuck the money fight the best. Cant wait to see pac man v cotto, fight of the year candidate for sure but really it could go either way i reckon, but im gonna stick me neck on the line and for close decision for pacman.

  • mexifanatic - my blocking comment is meant for those idiotic enough to think the Nevada State Athletic Commission is anywhere near as shitty as the California State Athletic Commission. Hence the HBO deduction that "Margarito had cheated Cotto"

  • I see a few people talking about Cotto getting cut. But again he is not Hatton or Gatti (in terms of cutting). I believe all of his cuts were from headbutts.

Even the cut in the mouth in the Judah fight was from a headbut.

  • @boxinginfo

Cotto will win this fight. Cotto is a better boxer and all-around fighter. If Marquez exposed Pacman then Cotto will finish it. I see Cotto landing that great JAB he has and those bodyshots Cotto lands will be key in slowing down Pacquiao and i see Cotto's POWER being the key to victory and Pacquiao going down in the 9th round.

  • 585- I think Cotto has a good chance if he fights careful and disciplined like he did against Mosley. But lately he's been hit way too much for my liking. I just hope the best man wins and everybody is happy with a definitive result.

  • @boxinginfo

I think there is like ZERO CHANCE that the fight between Pacquiao vs Cotto is not going to live up to the hype on saturday. I think Cotto will impose his size in this fight and that JAB will keep Pacquiao at bay. I agree Cotto has been getting nailed way too much but he has been fighting top competition the best to offer in the sport and Cotto to me is so solid i just don't see Pacquiao winning.

  • i think manny is to good(fast and experienced)

to be controlled by a jab( he is no mayweather who was controlled by oscars jab)

i would easily have picked cotto if it was not for the margarito loss

i am not sure he is the same man that is my only concern

because that night cotto looked like broken man

    we will find out

  • Should be a great fight, good episode. Fight is not PPV on this side of the Atlantic

  • LOLOL at your Don king impersonation!

love the vids man keep em coming!

  • Im thinking the same way on the pac vs cotto fight , 2 classy guys looking for challenging fights, but yea Pac just seems to be getting better and better. Gotta go with Pac.Pac might be the best ELITE crowd pleaser since Tyson in his prime.

  • Great show Stork.Knew you would love the Rugged Man interview.Ive been saying the Paul Williams thing for a couple years even posted it up here a few times.Your exactly right, when asked about Williams by Rugged Floyd didnt even answer.I said it before and ill say it again,I dont think Floyd would win 1 round against Williams Throws 100 punches a round has many different punches in his arsenal, great stamina 6ft1 82 inch reach great chin, great power comes to fight. and yes he can make 147.peace

  • Incredible video as always, thank you.

  • I just can't see Cotto as the underdog. Pac is riding too much off the Hatton KO, Hatton who messed up his chin and reflexes with the ridiculous weight fluctuations.

  • TeflonDon- Pacquiao who is also riding 2 stoppages of Morales and killer wins over David Diaz and Oscar DelaHoya when compared to how Cotto has limped to the finish line against Clottey, Mosley, and Margarito.

I really hope the best man wins.

  • Can't wait for this fight. I just think this is closer to a 50/50 fight than many people are making out. Quite correctly people are saying the Pac's recent few fights have put him in a good light but there's always an angle - Oscar, too old, Hatton, bad lifstyle, Diaz, low KO percentage. If I didn't know better I'd say these were Mayweather-type opponents.

  • TeflonDom - Good points and I'll add that if Cotto wins he will have done it the old fashioned way, "He'll have earned it" There are no gimmes when you take on either of these two that's why this fight is so intriguing.

  • Good video. Thank You!

  • i think the reason that margarito did not have the same chin was because

    cotto took it from him

cotto landed ridiculous amount of punches on margaritos face

it was fight where both fighters will never be the same after it

  • As for Pacman-Cotto i pretty much agree with you after a lot of delibrating, Cotto's biggest enemey is volume. And Pacquiao, unless hes hurt badly in the first four rounds, will end up throwing too many punches and probably win a tko around nine or ten....also do you give any credence to tomasz adamek beating andrew golota, and his future as a heavyweight.

  • HitmanConan - Yes and no on Adamek, a good win against a not so good opponent. It is what it is. A fight between Adamek and Haye would be very interesting.

  • Yes, I was thinking along the same lines. Adamek vs Haye would be a very smart fight for both men, and actually, I think Adamek would do better against the Klitschkos Haye would. That being said, he'd probably still get killed.

  • @HitmanConan Definitely. Haye vs Adamek has to happen. Good riddance to Valuev. Maybe he'll try and cash in and get a fight with Vitali early next year and then gtfo of boxing

  • great to have you back,man...i concede you were dead on about taylor, i gave you flack, i apologize....dawson will be able to sit pretty until a young man comes at him with Johnson's style. Until then, he'll beat everybody he faces...the best thing you can say about haye's win is that it exits vaulev from the "top" of the division. Progess counts

  • Better name would've been Floyd "The Contradiction" Mayweather.

Almost a guaranteed great fight with both fighters being offensive fighters.

  • very good episode, glad to have you back.

  • i got Cotto wining by ko or ud i just dont see how beating a weight drain shot Oscar or a c level fighter like Hattan sets up Pac to be able to fight a real WW. this is Pac real test at 147 or in this case a 145 pound fighter. Pac gets hit to dam much. the only way i see Pac wining is by cuts or he really has WW power in his hands to win

  • the reason it did a million ppv buys was because they had movie theaters showing the fight and everyone that bought a single ticket for 5 bucks counted as 1 ppv buy. So the fight did something around 600k in buys.

  • is that so...any sources? thanks

  • the theater does not count as ppv

    it counts as closed circuit

  • the theater does not count as ppv

    it counts as closed circuit

  • southernprep5 - very interesting I never heard how closed circuit did, usually no news is bad news like trying to find out if The Atlanta Olympics were a financial success or failure like all the others except LA and Seoul. Nobody talks if its bad

  • the theaters did great

it said that 80% of the theaters where it was offered it sold out

also about hbo(public) i dont think they can lie about the numbers they are no UFC(privet)

so i kind of tend to believe the numbers

and only marquez and floyd can ask for an audit

  • yea i agree with what you are saying. The fight was success and marketed better than i could have ever thought. But floyd and his team lie, and golden is in on the lies also. They had those movie theaters packed and they counted every 5 dollar buy as if it was a $50 buy which is a bunch of crap. Plus they did that half off promotion with that mexican beer so you could get the fight for $20. Good marketing but i dont stand for people masquerading and faking.

  • damn islander you seem like you know manny is going to win but deep down inside you cant shake the feeling that it is highly possible that cotto can pull the upset and to be honest it shouldnt be an upset right?

  • shacasulu- exactly

  • thank the lord no golden boy thankthe lord,

    keep the vids comin

    PeAcE

  • welcome back!

  • I see Manny winning by decision in a convincing fashion, probably even a late round stoppage in the nature that was discussed in this vid. As I play the fight out in my head, I keep seeing it turning out that way. Though Cotto's power does put doubt in there, and it will be interesting to see how Manny handles it.

  • i think cotto and margarito both ended each others careers

  • dieallday- very good point.

  • It was grueling fight

    and great one at that

one of the few ppv that lived up to the hype ( it is a shame that only did 450k , it deserved a bigger audience than mayweather marquez)

i think in that fight even though cotto lost he took less damage

caz margarito gave leg and arm to get to cotto

he was being countered silly for like 8 round( and this is cotto who posses good power hitting him with clean shots to the face, chin)

after that fight i think Margarito was sitting duck for Mosley

  • hahhaaa

    floyd the liar

  • bout time man, great point on Cotto inflicting a lot of damage on Margarito, if it would of been anyone else they wouldnt of survived all that punishment. I think Cotto will win by power punches that start at the body then later moves up top to the head.

  • i paused this vid at 11:09 just to say: the interview on the radio with mayweather was amazing one of the best thing ive heard in a while. Floyd was getting so pissed off at the home truths thrown at him. I cant believe he even said that he cant fight paul williams because hes too big. HAHAHA that never stopped him picking on lighter guys though did it.

  • alright!!!!!!!

Good morning islander, ima have a good day now..

  • avalino79- lol thx!

  • Thats so weird just yesterday i was asking around for you on guard your grill i was like "Anybody know where boxinginfo is @" now here you are.

    Your a Youtube Boxing O.G.

Love the vid. 5 stars my dude.

  • the original five are boxinginfo

    gygb

    p4p(they are not around anymore)

    Bloodboxing

and i hate to say it

but the real originators are Boxing4real( i know those cats were lame but they started this so i give credit where its due lol

even though i thought they were idiots)

  • I used to like p4p in there earlier days.

Remember when Islander and the other dude used to do vids together and top 5's?

Boxing 4 real were an earlier primative version of what we get now. the cavemen of YT boxing if you will.

But when i saw GYGB...I never looked back, thats my favourite show.

  • one thing that p4p, the fam at gygb, ruff, blood dont do.... talk about all of boxng...they stick to the main events and most popular fighters...

When was the last time u heard those other shows give u a break down of the japanesse, thialand, mexican fighters, fucking canadians...

Anyone can do a show on the main events and the commercials...but i want to hear about shit that isnt on every freakin news wire... this is my fav but I keep up with them all caus I value their opinion too....

  • yeah boxinginfo does great job covering the whole world

david chen has good knowledge about asian fighters

  • 123icecoldbeer thank you I've been slammed busy lately.

  • Good video.. i hope its a great fight.

  • Good to see another video up. I think Haye would have a good chance against Wladimir. Haye punches hard and has greater speed. Wladimir like Haye has a suspect chin so it would make for a great fight in my opinion. I think that Vitali is the heavyweight king at the moment, and Haye would struggle to get anywhere near him. He'd spend the night on the end of Vitali's jab probably leading to a mid-to-late stoppage. Great video, i look forward to your Cotto-Pacman summary.

  • fremans - It's actually Wlad's jab that does more damage than Vitali's

  • thank sir!

  • gd vid man nice to see u back

  • thank yooooo soooo much sir..

  • finally sir. thanks! =)

  • dianneping8- in regards to the question you left on my channel, if Cotto switches southpaw it could be real trouble for him, we'll have to see.

  • ESPN should hire you to co-host Friday Night Fights. Always on point, ALWAYS, thanks Islander.
