as much as i hate to admit it after seeing him in free style I think Corbin Bleu really might be able to pull off static. But for it to work they would really really need to steer it away from HSM fanbase. seeing as most Static fans are late teens to mid 20's having a huge amount of childrens movies superstars in it would be fatal. deffinately needs a different richie if its going to work . but this is a movie that i would love to see.

I believe Static Shock has the true potential to be a movie. Static and Gear are one of many peoples heroes and have made there hits on t.v. Yet their final episode "Power Outage" ends in a real cliff hanger. Who is a bang baby? Has Gear made an antidote? What happened to Ebon-Streak? What happens to Static that leads to "The Once and Future Thing"All these questions can be answered with one that can be a blockbuster especially if using famous children stars like Corbin Bleu!

I think YOU are making this a disney kid teenager movie. It wont sell because not everyone is not into the teenager movie vibe. I think Static/Virgil should be played by upcoming actor Dawayne Jordan. He has done lots of tv shows and two movies..including being a combat fighter extra in G.I. Joe. He looks just like static and the costume team could dress him with dreadlocks. I think richie should be played by Michael Cera or Zac Efron or Adrien Grenier.
