The somali people are from Ancient-Egypt and Land of Punt , they have the same ancestors according to history , "Osiris" (Ausar in ancient-egyptian ) is the AwSar of somali people meaning "Father Sar" = Aw Sar . in somali language Isir means "ancestor" . and Osiris is the ancestor of ancient-egyptians . @haramacad i think you confuse other ethic groups that were native to the horn of africa as somalis. its common knowledge that bajunis/mijikenda people migrated to east coast of africa from yemen-sanaa areas.other tribes trace their roots to iraq area or middle east.this before the advent of light skinned arabs.the lemba of S.A sanaa-yemen/oman area their ancestral land.

OROMO/SOMALIS were also natives of yemen and the horn of africa. Points is that many african tribes lived here.

@123thjoe No actually the Somalis and Oromo are not Semitic but Hamitic North Africans that descent from the Egyptian line.

Haplogroup E3b is enough to debunk everything you wrote.

Haplogroup E3b is not even found in Yemen. 80% of Somali males are from this haplogroup, and correspondingly 80% of Yemeni males are from haplogroup J1.

The only connection between the two groups is the Afro-Asiatic languages which originate in Africa.

@123thjoe do you know that the oldest city in eastern africa is in somalia after ethiopia if you say cave painting or sailers mogadisho are older then barawa mombasa zanzibar and mozambique and the bajuni tribe before mogadisho there were other cities in northern somalia that was saillers before islam and swahili people you are somalis are nomads but not all of them somalis have farming tribes fishers people and merchant people.
