@meatwadXcore you can get it on IMSLP. The most difficult part is getting it up to proper speed. Your hands have to move so fast things meld together if you aren't precise. Good luck to anyone else learning this, so much fun once you master ANY of it. Oh yeah major applause to Libetta, this is how Saint-Saens is meant to be played.
@XuRuiHai721 You know what? If anyone uses the fingering on the score they will either not achieve this speed or they will injure themselves after a while. I realised the fingering and way of thinking about the double stops of the right hand to get them this fast. The left hand double stops are quite easy once you change the fingering of ascending 6ths. Why doesn't anyone know how to play 3 against 4? Here is a challenge: Make it all metronomic at a performance speed before adding rubato.
@demosj Cortot is better. In timing and especially in the last section, where Lib ettat is a tad less spontaneous and a trifle heavier. Nevertheless, impressive. However, it's one of those pieces that
*sounds* harder than it is technically. But there lies the rub.
What a wonderfully strong and sensitive touch he has. Bought both his DVDs and love them. Technical skills, handsomeness, and great musicality. He has it all.
How could this not get an average of FIVE stars when it deserves 1,000 is beyond me. This is some of the most awesome playing I've ever witnessed. Not to mention he is so HANDSOME!!!!!
Words (almost) fail me. WHAT a talent, what a gift from His Maker. And he's got fun living it out at that. THANKS a lot, Maestro Francesco and thanks to our Maker for giving us you and Saint-Saens.
Absolutely fantastic playing, with precision, speed, power, and a jaunty playfulness. Long live Libetta!

It would seem that the most interesting pianists today all seem to be "L"s: Libetta, Lugansky, and Lang Lang.

Sent this video to my sister in Sweden. She says back,
"Amazing. He must be Saint- Saens reincarnated to be able to play that! I can´t imagine learning it let alone composing it!."

Do you ever play anything SLOW? lol
You have some of the best fingers I've ever seen: Agile, flexible, rapid, and so accurate with a memory of their own. lol
Awesome playing as usual.

THE definitive performance of this piece is by Alfred Cortot, The lightness, the "gossamer", the speed is ethereal, And no wrong notes,
